Recently I made friends with a squirrel on my balcony. I am his best friend when it comes to handouts (as are countless others in this area)! After all, I am an animal lover!

He's a fat little sucker!

However, I have come to be intimidated by him. He expects handouts every time he shows up! He even brought a companion, with whom he squabbles right on my balcony! They are competing for my nuts and "hump" each other over it!


A couple days ago I was getting out of my car and was seen by this squirrel. Two minutes later, when I arrived at home, there he was at my window! That means he recognizes me and knows where I live!


He is quite aggressive and "in my face" about it! He seems to say "Gimme my nuts, bitch!" Sound familiar?

As much as I hate to say it, as an animal lover and all, I remember when explosives were oft used as deterrents for these critters.

An example, as I'm sure you've heard of, is from Maryland and Virginia. They insist that all rat families (which could contain thousands of rats) must be moved, families intact, to other wildlife spaces, say VA and MD! How in hell does one determine what a rat family is? Huh?

As naughty, dastardly humans, they just don't understand the trauma of the breakup of families of rats, no matter if they are potential carriers of Bubonic plague.

From my own life experience, I'm not so sure divorce is the most decent way to go! Guys are made out to be villians/predators! That's wrong! So wrong. Oft times women are despicable. Men are portrayed as "predators" when they are definitely NOT! I know of many women who claim this, and others who, in their honer, don't.

Who cares! They're families dammit! That's the way our country goes!

The reason that MD and VA are doing this is because D.C. passed a law that rats can only be killed " humanely " or captured and transported elsewhere ( which just happens to be MD and VA.)

I would be the first to concur that D.C. has far too many rats.

For so long, this nation has seen fit to send its worst vermin to D.C. Nobody noticed when they took their families, until the great lobster shortage began in 2008.

Chicago has been unusually sucessful in transplanting its rats, but even most recently when returned to their home nests in Chicago, they infest the mayors office.

Comrades, I am absolutely appalled to come in here and find that three years after Obama vowed in his inaugural address to restore science to its rightful place, some of you still believe that old antiquated notion, that old babushkas' tale, that rats, our most steadfast members of the Occupy movement, are carriers of bubonic plague.

You should all be ashamed of yourselves. You should all know by now that plague is caused by Republicans poisoning our wells! It's true! Obama himself warned us that Republicans want us to live with--and ultimately die from--dirtier air and water!

Republicans want all of us to die quickly, so as not to be a burden on their friends in the insurance industry--but not before we suffer years of prolonged, agonizing pain.

Republicans hate animals! Especially small furry ones--like rats. And for them to blame a small furry animal for the disastrous results of their own reckless, failed policies is just beyond despicable!

Now, as much as I'd like to stay and expound on this further--and pound some heads flatter--I have to go. I'm the keynote speaker at a brunch this morning in Palm Beach for the League of Jewish Snow Birds. They're the ones from New York who spend their winters in Florida. I'm going to remind them of how their Democratic vote counts not only in NY but in FL; and to reassure them that as long as they faithfully and consistently and ovinely vote Democrat, we will continue to keep the heat off them--but only just--by blaming Republicans for all the stuff that used to be the Jews' fault!

Oh, and don't call it Black Death anymore. Obviously that's a racist pejorative coined by that bastion of white men known as "The Church." Science, Comrades! Science!
