Many comrades may be unfamiliar with the geographic anomaly that is the Great Nation of Texazistan's Guadalupe National Park. Guadalupe Peak rising from the imposing edifice of El Capitan is the highest elevation point - at 8,085 ft - in the Great Nation of Texazistan.


The anomaly producing the Climate Change Conundrum in the Great Nation of Texazistan is this hair triggering fact:

El Capitan, the iconic image of the Trans Pecos area, is an exposed portion of a Permian Basin coral reef uplifted and exposed by tectonic activity during the late Cretaceous period.

Here's the Climate Change Conundrum: The highest point in the Great Nation of Texazistan was formerly the bottom of a Cretaceous Period ocean and home to all kinds of Permian Reef ocean swimming critters. These Permian Reef critters were unable to adapt to this terrorist act of Climate Change. Their lives are now recorded as stone fossils far above the former ocean floor as a testament to the terrorist act that is Climate Change.


Guadalupe National Park is now hiring a Corp of Comrade Engineers for the shovel ready job of lowering Guadalupe Peak and its Permian Basin coral reef support, El Capitan, to below sea level and thereby reversing terrorist acts of Climate Change.

Komrade jackalopelipsky, I'm compelled to note that the solution to the Klimate Katastophy does not have room to create shovel ready jobs or any jobs at all. Not to mention that leveling Guadalupe Peak would likely send the Eco-Stasi into a tizzy over destroying the habitat of some bug or rodent. The one and only solution to Klimate Change™ the elimination of jobs in order to end kapitalistic thievery. Thus we have what I now refer to as the "Gilligan's Island Solution:"

In 1721, 's Gravesande became involved in a public controversy over whether the German inventor Johann Bessler, known as Councillor Orffyreus, had created a genuine perpetual motion machine. 's Gravesande at first argued for the feasibility of perpetual motion based on the conservation of the scalar quantity mv (mass multiplied by speed), which he erroneously believed was implied by Newtonian mechanics.[5] However, in 1722 he published the results of a series of experiments in which brass balls were dropped from varying heights onto a soft clay surface. He found that a ball with twice the speed of another would leave an indentation four times as deep, from which he concluded that the correct expression for the "live force" of a body in motion (what is modernly called its "kinetic energy") is proportional to mv2.
