At one point during the rally I saw a group of young minority students, some of them Muslims, quickly moving through the crowd and distributing newspapers.
They wore 10.2.10 hats, blue Teachers' Union AFT shirts, and held mass-produced placards - "Hope not Hate." But their papers were headlined "Capitalist elections are a deadly trap," and their content espoused pathological hatred of the entire world outside the narrow communist fringe.
I looked it up: it is a bi-weekly publication of the PLP - the revolutionary communist Progressive Labor Party, and a radical splinter of CPUSA.
The students could be part of some special ed program, taught by radical teachers using the government money. The adult to the right is their guardian, carrying the same papers and dressed in a red PLP shirt.
They are followed by a bunch of bigger kids with red PLP banners. The teenage girl with the flag appears to be pregnant.
The driving force of the group walked in the rear. This older man and a woman might well be a married couple who had spent their lives disseminating hatred of this country. She wore a red shirt with a large hammer and sickle emblem - no doubt a Teachers' Union member in good standing.
If you're wondering where all the young radicals below got their ideas, it is thanks to these and many other unsung educational heroes like them.
These socialist-minded activists attempted to do a sarcastic comedy and were showered with F-bombs by irony-deprived SEIU members.
This "predator drone" was seen flying near the Washington Monument. Someone still can't get over Palin saying "How's that hopey-changey thing working out for ya?"
Medea Benjamin, co-founder of Code Pink, was riding around on a pink bike.
Most of the pictures on this page are self-explanatory. If I start writing comments I'll never be able to finish. Google the names of these organizations and you'll get the idea.
