Cher Says She's Now Torn Between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders (You'll get all that juicy Twitter stuff here)


The singer took to Twitter on Wednesday to talk about the internal conflict she feels over which Democratic candidate to support for the presidency. In the past, Cher has criticized Bernie Sanders and his campaign staff. In January, she called Sander “so disingenuous” for running as a Democrat, saying he's an “independent socialist” who “can't win” and comparing him to Ralph Nader.

On Tuesday night, Cher continued her criticism of the Sanders campaign, calling Sanders' campaign manager Jeff Weaver "scum" and an "asshole." She tweeted, "His 'Hillary is responsible for ISIS' is pure Trump."

However, on Wednesday, Cher said that after blocking people on Twitter she started to "feel uneasy" and went into "marathon research mode" with an open mind. She said that "in the quiet of the night," she discovered that Sanders' beliefs "mirrored" her own more than she had realized. The singer said she was "shaken to [her] core" by this revelation.

Cher went on to talk about how much she liked and respected Clinton, whom she spent time with when Clinton was running for the Senate. Cher said that she hopes the woman she fought hard for is still there, but that now she's faced with a difficult decision.

"Realize now that I have MUCH common ground and new respect for [Bernie Sanders]," said Cher, adding that she's torn up. She has not, however, changed her opinion of Sanders' campaign manager Weaver.

Democratic-leaning Hollywood celebrities have divided allegiances between Sanders and Clinton. Lena Dunham, America Ferrera, Olivia Wilde, Demi Lovato and Will Ferrell have all expressed their support for Clinton, while Sanders has Rosario Dawson, Sarah Silverman, Susan Sarandon, Spike Lee and Mark Ruffalo in his corner.

Cher forgot to mention her sponsorship, in the form of appearing on infomercials in the 80's and 90's, where she claimed to have made “a kajillion dollars” doing this. I looked but could not find. But, I did see them. I wonder how Bernie would “feel” about this. Hmmmm.

I'm not surprised, her name is the central idea of Bernie's policy!

What's more, these drug resistant urinary tract infections have been linked to rapid declines in those with any type of senile dementia, Alzheimer's and prion diseases. No one quite understands the link between UTI's and rapid declines in all types of dementias, but either way, you won't have to worry about it for too long, as you'll probably forget very soon...

Recently, my spousal unit and I were alerted to the hospitalization of a close relative. Her neighbor came in to check up on her and thought everything was normal until our relative asked her neighbor, “Who are you, do I know you?

Thinking this might be a stroke, she immediately called 911, knowing speed is of the essence in cases like this.

Turns out, it was a UTI (urinary tract infection) which normally would be very painful. Yet, it transferred itself into a no-memory manifestation. No physical pain involved. After treating the UTI, she was fine and cogent.

Freaky. I never knew this. Now I do.

I still want Bernie to tell me exactly who he thinks is an undemocratic socialist.
