Vice Chairman? Sure. Sure. Just don't tell Meow about it. The last time the Party had a Vice Chairman was back in '96 and, if I recall, he supposedly asked Meow to go into a Wal-Mart to get help for his life-partner ( Vice Chairman Ulanov's life-partner was bleeding to death after being stabbed by Ulanov's drag-queen lover). Meow was absolutely mortified. He actually had to be seen in a Wal-Mart asking the help of worthless proles. Can you see Meow doing that? Huh? Can you see him actually sharing the same space with worthless little peons? And actually being seen in a Wal-Mart!? SHOCKING! I am suprised he didn't just die after being welcomed by the greeter! Ulanov's life-partner died since Meow passed out after a cashier asked him if he was there looking for a job bringing shopping carts in from outside. I know, it is tragic. The embarassment was so bad for him that he didn't leave his dacha for a month. Not even Dr. P could get through to him... not after that at least. Ulanov was shot the following day though which did help the pain a bit although Meow is still upset and haunted by that whole incident.

So, yes, you can take on the position. BUT... It will be largely ceremonial due to the Wal-Mart incident and also because Meow fears any would-be usurpers to his spoils in the Party. There is also a bitter rivalry between Howard and Meow so steer clear of that as well.

I am thrilled to be a Vice Chairman along with Commissar Theocritus! While I have not personally witnessed it as you and Hillary have, I suspect that he has the kind of vice needed for such a position. The Chairman will no doubt be pleased, once he realizes that I would never even consider encroaching on him, nor ask him to degrade himself by coming to a Walmart or any such as some former Vice Chairman has in the past. BTW, in one of your most inspirational posts, you mentioned "Howard." I am not sure who you were referring to.

Louisiana is truly a state that one would on the surface would think would be strongly for the Empress given the poor education levels, the poor health of the proles, our dependence on charity hospital systems, it's relative high regard for unions, and our history of the greatest progressive of them all, Huey "The Kingfish" Long. The key planks of the Share Our Wealth platform included:

1. No person would be allowed to accumulate a personal net worth of more than 100 to 300 times the average family fortune, which would limit personal assets to between $1.5 million and $5 million. Annual capital levy taxes would be assessed on all persons with a net worth exceeding $1 million.
2. Every family was to be furnished with a homestead allowance of not less than one-third the average family wealth of the country.
3. Every family was to be guaranteed an annual family income of at least $2,000 to $2,500, or not less than one-third of the average annual family income in the United States.
4. No person would be allowed an annual income in excess of 100 to 300 times the average annual family income. Income taxes would be levied to ensure this.
5. An old-age pension would be made available for all persons.

He would have a 100% tax rate on incomes over 8 million, and inheritances over 1 million! Even the Empress has not came out for that...yet.
