Celebrate Diversity with Tulip Festival

Originating in the mountains of Afghanistan, tulips come in a heartwarming diversity of colors, shapes, and sizes. Unlike the uniformly white dandelions, the tulips strive to have a variety of aspects.

Following the Black History month in February and the Leprechaun History month in March, April is the month of international Tulip Festivals.

Comrades, I planted some tulips in the beet garden and wanted to share their diversity with everyone. Do not eat the bulbs since they do not taste as equally as the beets. I hope you notice that they represent the diversity found in socialist societies:

  • Red for Marxism
  • Pink for Radical Feminism and the Destruction of Patriarchy
  • Blue for Democratic Socialism
  • Green for Saving the Planet from Climate Change
  • Brown for National Socialism, aka Fascism

The last one was wildly popular around the world before WWII. Today it is deemed to be rare; some treat it as a freak accident of socialism, while others deny its connection to socialism altogether. And yet it continues to live in all the other colors. Think about it: if you mix red, pink, blue, and green together, the resulting color is brown!

Comrade Dedhedvedev - Is this what you had in mind?

Comrades, even though they are named chocolate tulips and look like chocolate, they are not made out of chocolate. You all should stop eating them.

Double entendres and symbolism? My mind is reeling. I'm also sensing there's a dog whistle here somewhere and it has to be either the tulips, the organ, or some high-minded (aka over my head) interplay of the two. I'm just not seeing it. Hmm...does the organ represent the dog whistle? They're both musical instruments although the organ, which has many notes, is played with the hands and the dog whistle, which has just a single note, is played with the mouth. Am I getting warm?

My reply, as an affirmative action student, to mentor Craptek's statement:

I knew that!

Boy, am I glad I didn't go off on a riff about economics, the history of markets, and whether the Dutch tulpengekte was in fact the first instance of a speculative or economic bubble in conjunction with ill-conceived monetary policy, which allowed, in part, for the massive fluctuations in value, or more accurately, price... or rather, as some have argued, it was actually just a notably interesting case of market efficiency...

Blah Blah Blah,
Sis

PS. More interesting, is the fact that those really pretty striped tulips are actually the result of a virus that infects the bulbs.

Dear Glorious Roseate Post-Modern Platonic Solid,

I thought we settled this whole "organ" debate last decade with Father Theocritus... that THIS, The People's Cube, was the official Party Organ... Unless, of course, someone really important in the Party, needed an actual new organ... for example...

Either way, I was absolutely sure we'd sorted out the whole Party Organ thing out around 2009...

There is no attribution for this work of art. All that is known is it addresses a prophecy that when tulips sprout out of a matron known as the Multi-Titted Empress's behind, the People™ of that time will know it's significance and rejoice at rallies throughout the land.
