The Black Sox Scandal

The 1919 World Series resulted in the most famous scandal in baseballhistory. Eight players from the Chicago White Sox (later nicknamed theBlack Sox) were accused of throwing the series against the CincinnatiReds. Details of the scandal and the extent to which each man wasinvolved have always been unclear. It was, however, front-page newsacross the country and, despite being acquitted of criminal charges,the players were banned from professional baseball for life. The eightmen included the great "Shoeless" Joe Jackson;pitchers Eddie Cicotte and Claude "Lefty" Williams; infielders BuckWeaver, Arnold "Chick" Gandil, Fred McMullin, and Charles "Swede"Risberg; and outfielder Oscar "Happy" Felsch.

90 years later...

The 2009 World Series of Politics resulted in the most famous scandal in political history. Thirteen players form the Chicago Black Sox were accused of throwing the the series against the Berkeley Reds. Details of the scandals and the extent to which each hermaphrodite was involved are still unclear. It is, however, front page news across the country and, despite being acquitted of criminal charges, the players may be banned from professional politics for life. The thirteen hermaphrodites included the great "Lob Ball Lefty" Lobama; pitchers Rahm "Eat Your Children" Emmanuel and Janet "Ileegal Luver" Napolean; infielders Bwarny "Web Weaver" Fwank, Harry "Yucca Sucker" Reid, Nansky "Zombie Fresh" Peloski; and outfielders Hillary "MTE" Clinton, Michelle "Miss Resentment" Mobama, Billsky "Flag Burner" Ayers, Bobby "LoBall" Rush, and three other players from the Chicago headquarters of CPUSA yet to be named by the HUAC & BBQ Pork Sandwich Eaters Club.
