GUATEMALA CITY — President Oscar Berger blasted Mexican immigration policies on Sunday and promised to fight harder to protect the rights of Guatemalans in the Mexico, saying "Guatemala does not end at its borders."

The criticism earned Berger a standing ovation during his first state-of-the nation address.

"We strongly protest the unilateral measures taken by the Mexican Congress and government that have only persecuted and exacerbated the mistreatment of Guatemalan undocumented workers," he said. "The insensitivity toward those who support the Mexican economy and society has only served as an impetus to reinforce the battle ... for their rights."

He also reached out to the millions of Guatemalans living in the United States of Mexico, many illegally, saying: "Where there is a Guatemalan, there is Guatemala."

Since taking office, Berger has maintained strong ties with the Mexico, but he has often denounced Mexican immigration policy, including more deportations that have divided many families, sometimes forcing Mexican-born children to build new lives in Guatemala.

sometimes forcing Mexican-born children to build new lives in Guatemala.

Boo hoo isn't that too bad. Just be glad that they won't be here during HRC's rise to power. Entire families will have to build new lives in the re-education camps and face the fact that they will never get out.

Long Live Hillary, Dictator for Life and Ever After!
