Hey Obama... leave our kids alone

No child left behind or no child's behind left alone? You be the judge.

Headline: Obama forced to temper his speech to captive audience of school kids due to protests from angry parents claiming Socialist indoctrination.

Comrades, this racist assault against Dear Leader is getting out of hand. The children are the future of the movement. If Obama can't use his hypnotic charms on the children, what hope is there? What's next? Will NAMBLA recruiters be barred from visiting public schools too?

I don't know about you, but all this opposition to Obama is making me biting mad.

I agree, Comrade. These counterrevolutionary kkkapitalist pigs are getting me in the mood to bite off some fingers from the imperialist dogs. If we don't do something quickly, the children will grow up with the idea that it is alright to oppose the Party and the Dear Leader. We must strip these parents of their children so that the taint does not infect future generations.

We must ban Pink Floyd's 'Another Brick in the Wall' preemptively!

I don't get it, why don't we let the manchild talk? He just wants to tell the children about what a good education can do for you, and what voting liberal does for the country. What is so wrong about that?

I hear the demagogue bells ringing again. . . and they sound so sweet. You know, maybe I should make a song about demagogues.

I pledge allegiance to Dear Leader, One nation, under socialism, and the flag, for which it stands, one nation, under the environmental movement, with the I.R.S. withdrawing monthly health care premiums for the Public Option, for all.

For years now there's been the question among women as to whether they can do it all--have a career as well as raise a family. Sarah Palin settled it once and for all, proving by her very existence that it can't be done, but Obama has the solution--HE will do it all for us!

Yes, in addition to paying for my mortgage and gas and health care, he's now going to raise my children for me, too! I don't have to worry about that stuff anymore! I don't have to worry about a thing--except those stupid ignorant right wing racist birthers trying to ruin everything.

All of this will leave me with more free time to spend in service to Obama, going door-to-door and standing on street corners on behalf of OFA, handing out literature, recruiting people to the cause, spreading the Good News about our Messiah, the Glorious New World he is bringing us, that he is the solution to all of our problems, and how those who don't believe shall be destroyed!

When I first heard about this, I wondered if it wasn't some sort of preliminary pepping and prepping for that 9/11 mandatory service thing he's cooking up. Also, it didn't seem as if the White House was planning to release the text of the speech beforehand, until after so many parents screamed. What happened to, “We'll post it online five days prior so you can read it for yourself”? He's not even following through with his promise to do that with bills, and I don't buy the excuse that they're having problems getting the system in place. These are supposed to be the most tech-savvy people in the world.

As for the assertion that he just wants to encourage kids to stay in school and work hard, etc.—while I certainly don't have a problem with that in itself, it seems to me the leader of the free world (cough) who inherited a bigger mess than he initially thought would be swamped with more important things.

He should worry about his own kids—like telling little Sasha to get out from under the sofa, stay out of the Oval Office so he can do his job, (cough) and go play on that fancy swing set my tax dollars bought for her. The White House wouldn't release that photo of her supposedly hiding from daddy if the whole thing hadn't been staged, just as the one of baby John-John was staged. All those rooms and square footage in that mansion, and those kids have nowhere else to play?

BTW, will the private Sidwell Friends—where the Obama girls are enrolled—be showing this speech?

Commissarka Pinkie, welcome to the World of Next Tuesday.

I agree, something tells me this speech will be more about his ego, politics, and why staying in a government run school is important. I would tune in to see it, but I'm scheduled for a stomach exam the following day, and the doctor said not to make myself sick.

Oh, and will Sidwell Friends (sounds more like a cult then a school if you ask me) show it? My bet is on two things, both of them starting with the answer "no". Either they simply won't show it, or they will ask the Obama girls to give a summary of it to the class and save a little time.

Sidwell Friends school is a Quaker school, essentially a religious school in which the highest ideal taught is pacifism.

The Quakers have a long history of abstaining from conflict to the point of making themselves a pariah in America.

Thomas Paine in his booklet "Common Sense" even dedicated the final chapter to the Quakers, exhorting them to take up sides in the cause of liberty. At the time, for all their fine talk of non-violence, they were curiously silent on the violence being committed by King George.

There was never a war, no matter how righteous and justified that the Quakers didn't attempt to sit out. WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, the Quakers refused to do their part. They have been and continue to be the embodiment of Leftist pacifism in America.

This might explain too much about the One.

Comrades,

When "The Wall" was "the thing" and "The One" was packing "the bong," my male parental chromosome donor would occasionally leave off the Dvorak 8-tracks to play the radio in the station wagon. Whenever the Pink Floyd line from which this is thread's header is taken came on, he would rage at the stupidity of the "Hey, teacher, leave them kids alone!" He felt it encouraged ignorance, tribalism, and Tim Leary thinking/being; he never realized that education is spontaneous, effortless, when the Man isn't bringing the learner down.

G0bama!
