While perusing the Drudge Report this morning I came across an article about the child indoctrination study-plan that is being pushed on public schools prior to His address to the youth of the nation. Apparently the blunt “what can you do to help the President?” segments of the curriculum have been revamped or removed. One would deduce this change was made due to it being completely inappropriate and the justified public outcry in response.


The project where students after listening to The One were to "write letters to themselves about what they can do to help the president." has been removed and replaced by "Write letters to themselves about how they can achieve their short-term and long-term education goals.”

All that is fine and good, thankfully the public is too smart to swallow this tripe. The part of the article that got me was that when the White House was asked why the changes were made the response was, quoting from the article:

White House spokesman Tommy Vietor said the changes to the language are intended to make the lesson plans clearer. He added that the speech is not a policy speech, but is intended to encourage kids to work hard and commit to school.

The speech is "about the value of education and the importance of staying in school as part of his effort to dramatically cut the dropout rate," Vietor said.


What kind of answer is that? The changes were made to make the lesson plans “clearer”? What is not clear about “What can you do to help the President?” or “Write a letter to yourself about how you can help the President. To be collected and redistributed at a later date to discuss if you've met your goals.”?


I've seen these kinds of nonsense answers before that have zero to do with reality or the question asked. Where was the follow-up from the press? That is almost as amusing as the answer itself. Our press just transcribes nonsense for all to swallow. I thought it might be entertaining to keep a record of these here. Keep a running log of absurd answers to questions with obvious ends.

Forget these long-winded speeches from our Dear Leader. Our youths don't have that kind of attention span. I think a doubleplusgood idea is for Arne Duncan, the Education Czar, to mandate that the children wear tin foil hats so when their teacher tells them to "put on their thinking caps" Laika can transmit all the daily lesson plans directly to their ritalin-numbed minds. Then they'll already know what to do for Dear Leader.
