Ohio State U terror attack is the story of immigration

A "PROG OFF" RANT BY AN AMERICA-LOVING IMMIGRANT

The Ohio State University jihadist, Abdul Razak Ali Artan, was not just a Muslim immigrant from Somalia. He had the coveted refugee status, which means the US government provided him with food, shelter, and education grants. What made him so mad at Americans that he went on an indiscriminate killing rampage? Was it something he heard from ISIS - or was it the school-approved "social justice" rhetoric about how much he suffered in this country as a Muslim? It could be both, not necessarily in that order.

The University police officer who shot and killed him, Alan Horujko, is another young man from an immigrant family. His ancestors hailed from Ukraine or any of the bordering areas in Poland, Belarus, Slovakia, or another Eastern European country. They'd be shocked to hear that someday the U.S. government would feed and house immigrants - especially the types of immigrants that have a proven record of going on murderous rampages and indiscriminately killing and maiming Americans simply for being Americans.

Based on these two examples, which type of immigration is beneficial to America and which one is harmful?

The answer is obvious, but here's the kicker: current immigration laws, as written by the late Senator Ted Kennedy, make it next to impossible for any European to obtain a green card (it took me 20 years to get mine). Instead, the law focuses on "multiculturalism" and "diversity," which means the preference is given to immigrants from the Third World countries who are least likely to assimilate. By now the entire world is aware of the benefits that come with the "refugee status"; for many it is the equivalent of winning a life lottery: guaranteed food stamps, subsidized housing, free healthcare, grants, and other perks on the taxpayer's dime.

If today's laws were in existence at the time when the Horujkos came to America, there would be no Alan Horujko around to stop the jihadist because his ancestors would be turned away. America itself would also be different, looking more like a Third World country in its ways, culture, and system of government. Terror attacks would be the norm and human life would have as little value as it has in Somalia.

Knowing this, any sensible American would demand an urgent overhaul of these insane immigration laws. Unfortunately, proponents of the existing system have been able to condition American conservatives to see red at the very mention of "immigration reform" because it sounds like a "liberal" idea. By and large, traditional conservatives seem to have convinced themselves that all that's needed is simply to "enforce the existing laws," oppose "illegal immigration," proudly support "legal immigration," and forget about any reforms. By doing that they effectively support a continuation of multiculturalism that precludes assimilation and renders the proverbial "melting pot" obsolete.

Indeed, any reform conducted by a leftist government is likely to make things worse. But the leftist hold on the U.S. government will be over as early as January. Once the Trump administration takes office, we should demand a completely new set of immigration laws based on a cardinally different philosophy.

This is not an argument to filter people by race or ethnicity, but rather by their individual readiness to assimilate into the American culture by accepting American values and American way of life.

It's not racist to want your children to be safe when they walk the streets, ride the trains, or, in this case, go to school after a Thanksgiving break. We need an immigration system that would let more Horujkos in and keep Abdul Razak Ali Artans out.

On another note, three weeks ago I was arrested for hanging these anti-terror posters on George Mason University campus. Given today's terrorist attack on Ohio State campus, these posters turned out to be prophetic (PBUH).

Will the George Mason authorities apologize to me now and drop the charges? I have three more hashtags for them:

In the meantime, the Muslim Students' Association at Ohio State is promoting such events as "The Trump Era: Battling Normalized Islamophobia" under this completely non-violent banner:

MSA_Trump_Era.jpg
And on December 2 they have a scheduled Discussion with OSU Police Department:

"We will have a discussion about the police relations with the muslim (sic) community and how we can adress (sic) distrust. In a time where bigotry against minority communities is prevalant (sic) it is important for our community to have friends within the Law Enforcement Community."

Why do bad things always happen to their community?

Perhaps, if only their community could meet with the other community to talk about their communities sooner, much bigotry could have been prevented - and a community of 11 random non-Muslim students wouldn't be in the hospital today with stab wounds and fractured skulls. And Abdul Razak Ali Artan would have abandoned the jihadi community and set his mind on helping the Catholic community that took care of him when he first came to join the American community. Or maybe not.

* * *

On yet another note, if Abdul Razak Ali Artan voted for a U.S. president this month, who did he vote for? In Ohio, according to reports, Somali immigrants are being driven to the polls by the van load, while many of them don't even speak English, which makes them unlikely citizens. Abdul is said to have been a "permanent resident," which comes before citizenship. So if he did vote, can we now chuck his vote from the much discussed "popular vote" number? In fact, how many more votes like his are there in the "popular vote" of which Hillary is so proud?

In case you didn't check out the last link in the post above, here it is again - very informative:

OSU Attacker Abdul Razak Ali Artan Was Unvetted Somali Refugee Via Catholic Charities...

I've always liked The Conservative Treehouse because they do great research and our brainwaves seem pretty much aligned. Also they have my graphic in their masthead, signed by yours truly.

[PROG OFF - ANOTHER RANT]

Although retired from OSU for 7 years, I continue to get listserv emails from the university and my old department. As yet, no one at any level of OSU has called the jihadi terrorist attack what it is. The terms used are "events," "occurrences" [sometimes spelled correctly, but not always], or "the outburst of violence" [yes, the violence erupted by itself and can't be pinpointed to anyone in particular]. We're all being cautioned to work together to restore our security and our strengths that come from our diversity and willingness to work together. Then come the recommendations that anyone (faculty, staff, students) who might need counseling should go to the following counseling centers or attend a group counseling session at a such-and-such time and place.

In other words, settle down, it was just an event that we can accommodate and get over in time for classes to resume the next day.

Conversely, concerning the recent elections, the protests and "safe spaces" and teach-ins and email howls of anguish and concern for ourselves and our students, as well as other public emotional outbursts of all kinds, have gone on for weeks at full blast, and will probably resume along with classes now that the "unfortunate events" of yesterday are over.

These sociopaths were more upset by Trump's winning the election than they were by a terrorist attack right outside their windows!!!! (Sorry, Pamalinsky, I didn't mean to usurp your exclamation-point charter.) And yes, it happened just a half-block away from the building where I used to teach, so it could actually be seen from the windows.

Beloved Leader of the Cube, pardon me for breaking in on your outrage, but my own outrage is causing my blood pressure to enter the danger zone.

What is truly amazing is how this story evolved over the hours depending on the information gleaned from the situation:

Active shooter reported at Ohio State University

Suspect dead and nine injured in active shooter situation at Ohio State University

It started out a 'mass shooting' and the gun grabbers wasted no time is calling for even more restrictions on our basic freedoms:

Shannon Watts' Attempt to Politicize Ohio State Incident Fails Spectacularly

Politicians, Activists Rush to Blame Ohio State Stabbing Spree on Guns

Dems INSTANTLY Turned The OSU Knife Attack Into A Gun Control Debate

Then after the truth of what really happened trickled out the that it was Car/knife attack:

1 suspect dead, 9 in hospital after Ohio State car-and-knife attack

Attacker Plows Into Crowd, Stabs People At Ohio State Campus

And strangely: Even a story from November 28, 2016 at 4:58 PM and the correct version still has the 'active-shooter' in the link:
Most of the gun grabber meme disappeared... almost:

.@YahooNews: 'Early Reports' of Gun Used in @OhioState Attack Should 'Spur Look' at Gun Control

After Ohio State attack, George Takei picked a strange day to boldly go after the NRA

Then the 'T' word started floating around.. shutting down most of the coverage..
Terrorism Suspected In Ohio State Attack

Then once again the narrative changed:

Whoa: Looks like OSU attack suspect recently decried media's negative ‘picture' of Muslims

‘Anti-racism strategist' Tariq Nasheed mystified by white OSU officer being called a hero

WTF?! SERIOUSLY? 24 hours later CNN hacks STILL reporting no motive known in OSU attack

And finally with no gun grabbing to foment, the national socialist media quickly moves on to other stories...

Is it true what I read in the EuroPravda today? That some evil white Trump supporters jumped on a refugee's vehicle and then attacked his knife with their backsides, before he was summarily executed by an Ukrainian fascist (probably another jailbird, like that Oleg Atbashian type)?

@ comrade RedDiaperette:

My condolences: it must be hard to see an institution you worked so hard for slide into the slimy depts of leftomania.

Dinesh D'Souza described it like this on the restoration weekend:

"My own view is that the campuses are gone, and by that I mean there is no way to take them back. The solution actually has to be far more dramatic. It essentially involves creating new types of education that can deliver high-quality education at a low cost. The Achilles' heel of the campus is in the precarious financial structure that is now unsustainable. And so if using technology there is a way to create, let's call it, the academic iPhone in which you're able to deliver very good education for one-fifth of the price, you will shake to the foundations the core of American higher education."

As a former inmate of Akademazkaban, I was surprised to see more and more money and institutional time go to lectures/meetings/initiatives on soft topics nobody really needed, apart from the people that got paychecks because of it.

Motivated student, good textbook, some short and concise advice by a professor (about a course, not about his politics), strict but fair exam: why does anybody need so much money to organise this?

There are so many people getting paid to produce bullshit at universities throughout the west that I also wonder if this part of the world is not beyond saving...

Yesterday in the middle of the day, as Fox News was showing all the updates that were quickly evolving into the story of a Muslim terrorist trying to kill students, CNN had a long segment on the trial of Roof, the white lunatic who photographed himself next to the Confederate flag and then mass-murdered black churchgoers at a Bible study. That in itself could be a valid story, but why do it at that particular time, unless the goal was to neutralize the news that the attacker turned out to be a Muslim, a refugee, a non-white, and a terrorist?

Roof is a moron for killing innocent people, and a cretin for giving the leftist media the excuse to negate dozens of terror attacks just by bringing up his idiocy and rubbing it into America's face. Same with Timothy McVeigh, whom the left used for years after 9-11 as a proof that Muslim terrorists are not more dangerous than American right-wingers, and they are just two sides of the same coin. That's an insane assertion, and the responsibility for it lies on the media, but that doesn't excuse the idiots who kill innocent bystanders out of frustration or to make any kind of point.

I would find it very hard to believe that was a coincidence.

BTW, Take a look at https://www.memeorandum.com/ you will note that this story is rapidly disappearing..

Perhaps because of this: IS Claims Responsibility for Ohio State Attack

[PROG OFF - PART 2]

When I said that the anti-Trump hysteria would resume today, I must have been clairvoyant. Barely 24 hours after a Muslim Somali immigrant committed a terrorist attack on campus, one of my former colleagues did an email blast asking everyone to sign an "Open Letter to OSU" petition started by the usual victimologists around campus. The petition began promisingly:
We, the undersigned, stand united in opposition to the recent wave of intimidation and violence on campus and declare that:
You probably think that's a call for identifying and forestalling other possible sources of terrorism, right? It is to laugh. The next three paragraphs are as follows (note especially the third para):

All students deserve a safe campus environment, which includes assurance that bigotry against students because of their race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, immigration status, gender or sexual identity, or ability status will not be tolerated.

We take a non-negotiable stand against all forms of racism and bigotry and insist on mutual dignity. [Three sentences of repetitious blather omitted in the interests of space constraints.]

We pledge to stand up for and support the most vulnerable among us, particularly those deliberately targeted in the lead up to the recent presidential election. We are prepared to defend those who are now victims of hate in the election's wake–members of our community who are undocumented, people of color, LGBTQ people, Muslims (and other religious minorities), immigrants, the differently abled, and women.

I give up. Where do you even begin with this kind of thing? Now anyone who attempts to address the terrorist attack as what it was, i.e., a terrorist attack by a Muslim Somali immigrant, will himself be denominated a terrorist -- as Oleg has been.

Oleg, as soon as I leave here, I'm going to do something I almost never do: make an online donation to your defense fund. God bless you.

but.. but.. but... Comrade Director, you just don't in the 21st century behave in such 19th century fashion, prog-offishly ranting around in our precious cubiformed safe space.

Don't you know, Comrade Director, that we you Amerikkkans live not yet in the New Wild West? The New Wild West, where Obersturmbannsheriff Trump rides his iron horse ‒ the TRUMP ‒ across the fruited plains, willy-nilly shooting every Mexican, uh, everyone except the Old White (resp. Orange) Man in sight? where he, Obersheriff, and his unfettered hordes grab whomever they wish by whatever they want? and where everything that moves will be compulsorily pumped up with tremendously gilded plastics ‒ just so, to make it "great" again?

You still live (until January 20, 2017!) in the rarified paradise of progressive Progress, the New Era Of World Citizenry ‒ it's the 21st century here, you just don't behave like it is the 20th century, or sumptin, any more ‒ where there is justice in every molecule! where there is a safe space around anything of spatial extent! and where everything is equal, and the Citizenry of Migrated Minority even more equal! even that moron, trigger-happy Horujko, is equal (provided the investigation will say so)!

You enjoy that precious air, Comrade Director, while it still is here. Come January 20, there will be strings on everything ‒ you included ‒ pulled by Trump, while the Joo will pull the strings on him.
