You know who Rick Perry is like? He's like George H.W. Bush -- out of touch, professorial, looking at his watch, and just too damn good to talk to simple proles. He shouldn't be there. Why on Earth is he doing this debate and why is he up against this silly and slick Southern pol? He doesn't really know, and I am sure Perry will be saying the same thing when up against the warm and empathetic President Obama, as represented by then Governor Bill Clinton.





President Obama, who is the smoothest thing since, uh, smooth was invented by Al Gore, will just eat Perry alive in a debate. Have you seen Rick Perry on the trail? He connects to absolutely no one! Perry misses the key to good presidential politics -- retailing. He just doesn't know how to go out there and work up the folks. He just doesn't understand the folks with his loafers, his “clarifying“, and his fancy-schmancy Martha's Vineyard trips. The man is just too, too patrician. It's yucky, absolutely yucky.

How can Rick Perry connect to real, honest to goodness folks in the heartland, the rust belt, or the South? He can't -- he just can't. Obama, on the other hand, has the bubba bit all worked out. Comrades, 2012 will be a piece of cake.
