The Goracle embarrassed; Scientist to be flogged.

As reported:

There are many kinds of truth. Al Gore was pole axed by an inconvenient one yesterday.

The former US Vice-President, who became an unlikely figurehead for the green movement after narrating the Oscar-winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth, became entangled in a new climate change “spin” row.

Mr Gore, speaking at the Copenhagen climate change summit, stated the latest research showed that the Arctic could be completely ice-free in five years.

In his speech, Mr Gore told the conference: “These figures are fresh. Some of the models suggest to Dr [Wieslav] Maslowski that there is a 75 per cent chance that the entire north polar ice cap, during the summer months, could be completely ice-free within five to seven years.”

However, the good soon-to-be-flogged Doctor corrected the Goracle:

“It's unclear to me how this figure was arrived at,” Dr Maslowski said.“I would never try to estimate likelihood at anything as exact as this.”

In a surprising turn of events, the Goracle then admitted to the lie corrected himself

Mr Gore's office later admitted that the 75 per cent figure was one used by Dr Maslowksi as a “ballpark figure” several years ago in a conversation with Mr Gore.

So, the Goracle misspoke, the ex Doctor corrected him, then the Goracle restated what the Doctor said in private.

I'm just counting the days till we can save the planet for good.

Of course the Artic will be ice free within 5 years. The temperature of the earth's core is several million degrees! That will melt the ice! Don't these people know ANYTHING?

Just think Comrade,

- Moving the beet crops will be at least 0.5x faster.
- For those in the land-locked midwest, we'll now have beach front property.
- Potato crops will be more bountiful - great for making vodka.

Yes, I look forward to the warming ...

I denounce you, Raznoehintsi Pewkov! Who cares if it will bring good things? The powers that be say that Global Warming is BAD, and you should not defy them like that. Keep thinking like that, and everyone will start wanting to think for hyrself.

Whoa Comrade ...

I'm just saying that the Motherland's Paper, Pravda, is reporting that:

<a href="https://english.pravda.ru/science/earth ... -0">Global Warming is a good thing.</a>

<a href="https://english.pravda.ru/world/america ... 0/">Carbon Communism</a>

<a href="https://english.pravda.ru/news/world/24 ... mate-0">US yields to EU</a>

Are these not good things? If you want to say the Pravda is Wrong ... then there must be a reciprocal denunciation here. How can you dare say that Pravda is Wrong.

Also, as a side note, I'm not thinking for myself ... I'm just parroting the parties paper.

Yes, but when all that melted ice starts flowing into the earth's core thru this hole at the North Pole, that will cause the hot core to cool, will it not? Then won't we eventually have global freezing?????

Gosh, thinking is complicated; I'm glad we have people like Gore and Obama and Biden to do it for us (whew!)
