The Marxist theory of economics explained so even millennials can understand it. Courtesy of the Democratic Socialists of America webpage:

A Progressive is someone pretending to not be a Socialist. A Socialist is someone pretending to not be a Communist. A Communist is someone pretending to not be a dangerously brutal, lying, primitive, murdering thug.

The good news is it's democratic cancer.

Notice that Marxism takes civilization - human freedom, self-government, individual rights, and free enterprise - civilization itself - and reduces it down to one word: Capitalism.

Civilization is founded on your right to govern your own life. To the extent there is civilization there is that right. This creates a whole society of self-governing people and the enterprises and institutions they build and enjoy to possess a more perfect self-governance of their lives.

The Marxists reduce all of the wonderful great garden of civilization down to one concept, "capitalism." They present a free human civilization as a terrible conspiracy of greedy rich people stealing, hoarding, pathologically accumulating "capital."

They make it out as if this is choice of economic "systems." Capitalism or socialism? But that is a false choice.

Here's where they really have it wrong: Economics is NOT the underlying cause of human motivation. Your need and desire to govern your own life - self-government - is the underlying cause of all human motivation. You hold your life in your mind's eye like no other species on earth and this great gift of sight given to us literally gives us possession of our lives as a property - your first property right. This great gift of sight that let's us see we have lives of days, and weeks, and months, years, and decades, this ability to see we are lives and are not simply alive that separates us from the animals, that gift of sight is where the wheels of the human soul meet the pavement of the world. It is why we have the right to our own lives and the Rights that go with the need to govern our lives like Men. It is what civilization and everything we hold dear is built on.

The Marxists destroy our ability to govern our own lives and the Rights needed to govern our own lives and so they destroy civilization and everything worth living for.

Have you noticed how they've abandoned the hammer and sickle and replaced it with a flower in a fist? That's all they do, they bring us flowers. No strings attached. What's not to like?

However, here's how the full picture looks without cropping:

Still don't like it? Then you're a Nazi who hates flowers and gifts in general. Everybody knows that Nazis hate flowers and puppies.

What? Nazis were a socialist workers' party? Lies! They were against diversity. And democratic socialism is all about diversity. And it comes in many colors.

The good news is it's democratic cancer.
As you remember, most Eastern Bloc countries called themselves "people's democracies" and had the word "democratic" in their names. From the German Democratic Republic (East Germany) to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea).

Everything is swell when you add "democratic" to it. Let's try it!

  • Democratic feudalism
  • Democratic slavery
  • Democratic racism
  • Democratic fascism
  • Democratic dictatorship
  • Democratic mass murder
  • Democratic looting and theft

Marx forbid capitalists get a whiff of this formula and start calling themselves Democratic Capitalists. Then we're finished!

If everything is owned by everyone in common what could be fairer than an equal say in how the collective is run?

This is where the big split in thought on the Left comes in between the "Stalinists" and the "Trotskyites."

It doesn't take any imagination at all to know how that little argument turns out.

Could make it red pill vs. green pill. I'd do it, but I must be at City Hall dull and early tomorrow to beg permission from the state to travel beyond our collective's insecure borders.

Imperatorskiy Pingvin -

Does Antarctica have a City Hall? And does it also have borders?

I thought your continent served as a perfect model for all others - open borders, all humans working there are government-subsidized and enjoy full employment.

And all penguins are equal, all look the same, walk in large groups only, don't use fossil fuels for transportation (see March of the Penguins), and are a perfect example of collectivism that actually works.

Speaking of March of the Penguins, were you in the extras? Or did you have a speaking role?

Smash the state! Penguins Without Borders!

Oh, sorry. You live in a socialist collective. How silly of me. Socialist collective states have to have borders.

One system created the most millionaires per capita in the history of the world. The other killed the most people in the history of the world.

Dear Leader -

It's true; As a species penguins serve as a model for all others in our practices, and we have dominated the continent of Antarctica and made it a model for all other continents. We also have collectives in South America and Africa, but thanks to Global Warming Climate Change™ have been unable to expand further due to physical limitations assigned to us at birth hatching.

As such, the Assembly of Penguin Soviets held a vote and volunteered several candidates to transition to mammalian humanoids. Drawing on advanced research pioneered by visionary geneticist Trofim Lysenko we were able, with only hundreds of complete failures a few casualties, to succeed in turning me into a passable facsimile of a male-identifying human being. i was then dispatched to AmeriKKKa to spread our knowledge and hasten the arrival of the Glorious World of Next Tuesday™.

As for March of the Penguins, I served in an uncredited advisory role.

Here you can see the volunteers socializing with some human children a few days before we began transitioning:

And here I am mid transition, before it was decided to turn me into a white man so that I could enjoy all the privilege that entails:

I just flipped it around hoping that instead of a handshake it would look more like armwrestling. But your version works, too.

'Need' now means wanting someone else's money.
'Greed' means wanting to keep your own.
'Compassion' is when a politician arranges the transfer.

Democratic socialism is where everyone gets to vote for what I put on the ballot to vote for.

I mean, there has to be a limiting principle or else every single person will want to put their stuff on the ballots and it'll be crazy lawless wild-west democracy as bad as crazy lawless wild-west capitalism and nothing will ever get done because of all the crazy stuff on the huge stacks of ballots everyone has to vote on and everyone will suffer from alienation and stuff.

Trust me on this. Margaret knows best.

Comrade, the preferred terms of address for that particular demographic are either "intellectually-challenged voter" or "public high school graduate"; the latter of which ought not to be confused with "undocumented graduates".
