Slogans for Spontaneous Pronouncements at Victory Rallies
By Red Square
11/5/2008, 7:42 am

Comrades! November 4th 2008 shall be inscribed in golden letters in the history of the international revolutionary movement as the day when American workers, peasants, and toiling intelligentsia finally rose to reject the archaic idea of American exceptionalism. Our agents in the academia, mass media, and trivial entertainment divisions have lived up to the Party's expectations in swaying the voting populace into throwing off the chains of accountability, integrity, and individualism - and embracing their true nature as a mote of a vast collective.

Below is a list of mandatory slogans for spontaneous pronouncements at congratulatory rallies, approved by the Central Committee of the Democrat Party of the United States of America (DPUSA) for the official four-year-long celebration of Change.

~
  • Let live forever in the people's memory the unparalleled achievement of Barack Obama, the glorious Democrat strategists, and all those who fought against Republican terror and repression!
  • Long live the Democrat Party, the organizer of electoral victories and the experienced avant-garde of the American people in their struggle for liberation from their income!
  • Long live the indissoluble union of the mainstream media and the Democrat Party! Strengthen the social-political and ideological unity of New American society!
  • Citizens of the New United States - strictly adhere to politically correct speech, the Basic Law of our life!
  • Activists of literature and art, cultural workers! Carry high the banner of the Party and the multicultural character of people's art! Devote your talents and craftsmanship to shifting the paradigm, revising the cultural narrative, and strengthening the liberal orthodoxy!
  • Members of the unbiased media! Fervently implement the guiding principles of the Fairness Doctrine! Be watchful and uncompromising while investigating enemies of the people and eliminating pockets of resistance among their recalcitrant apologists!
  • Workers of the people's education! Mentors of youth! Teach the growing generation in the spirit of social and economic justice! Perfect the preparation of cadres for community organizations!
  • Community organizers! Actively participate in the management of local, state, and federal government! Long live community organizations - the political basis of New America!
  • Workers of public health! More actively support socialized healthcare while selflessly improving the medical service to the people!
  • Students and school children! Eagerly love the benevolent welfare state; persistently raise your awareness of government programs! Prepare yourselves to become dependent on the generosity of social workers and the Democrat Party!
  • Young men and women! Tirelessly educate yourselves in progressive convictions! Learn to live, work, and struggle like Barack Obama!
  • Long live the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), the reliable assistant and fighting reserve of the Democrat Party, the vanguard of Change!
  • Long live the unshakable political unity of ethnic enclaves and other minority groups and collectives - a great achievement of the Multiculturalist policy of the DPUSA!
  • Card-carrying Democrats! Be in the avant-garde of the national struggle to fulfill the decisions of the current Congress of the DPUSA, be active organizers and teachers of the masses!
  • American trade unions! Actively expand your ranks with open ballots and agitate for increased productivity and the quality of work!
  • Workers of the United States! Struggle to achieve a complete equality of outcomes among all persons regardless of their skills, efforts, and citizenship!
  • Agricultural workers! Actively fulfill the agrarian policy of the DPUSA! Raise the effectiveness of ethanol production! Make better use of existing technology, fertilizer, and alternative energy sources!
  • Industrial workers! Hasten the pace of agro-industrial integration by building wind farms! Unflaggingly expand the production of renewable hybrid vehicles with clean coal technology!
  • Heroic workers of the national economy! Struggle to increase labor discipline! Stop stealing collective property - the source of our economic prosperity!
  • Scientists and inventors! Strengthen the connection between science and technology! Actively struggle to stop global warming and achieve energy independence by hastening the research of alternatives!
  • Citizens of the United States! Make careful use of our nation's resources! Struggle for their preservation by reducing your carbon footprint and cutting on pointless food consumption!
  • Workers of trade and social nutrition, consumer services, and communal housing management! Strictly follow government discipline, increase initiative, pay keen attention to the needs and requests of customers and their families!
  • Workers of government establishments! Improve the styles and methods of apparatus work, bring into wider use progressive forms and methods to achieve an even higher level of culture in servicing the American people!
  • Peoples of the world! Fight for the deepening of the lessening of international tension, for the expansion of hope to all continents on the basis of unconditional handouts!
  • Peoples of Muslim nations! Struggle for the strengthening of peace, cooperation, and good neighbor relations with Israel and each other, for the ensuring of safety in the Middle East by achieving a complete and irreversible Change!
  • Long live President Obama's foreign policy - the policy of hope among peoples, the unity of all forces struggling against Yankee imperialism and capitalist enrichment!
  • Under the banner of fairness, under the leadership of Barack Obama and the Democrat Party - forward to new victories in cutting America down to size, redistributing incomes, and equalizing outcomes!

AN UPDATE for those unfamiliar with this genre of festive pronouncements. In the times of USSR, such slogans were always declared through a loudspeaker over loud festive music during officially held massive parades (May Day, Revolution Day, etc.) The crowds of marching "proletarians, kolkhoz peasantry, and working intelligentsia" were supposed to respond to each such slogan with a thunderous "OORAH!!!"

To ensure consistency and unanimity throughout the Motherland, a list of such slogans was prepared in advance and published in the Pravda (usually taking the entire front page), to be repeated at every local parade in other cities and villages in all of the 9 time zones.

This particular set is based on a real collection of "Slogans approved by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union for the 60th Anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution." It was refreshing to read them in English after so many years. I only replaced certain details to match the Current Truth. The rest, to borrow Obama's expression, is "more of the same."

Ironically, the candidate offering more of "more of the same" was Obama who spoke a lot about the 21st century but only proposed stale ideas that had already failed around the middle of the 20th century. For an ex-Soviet, Obama's speeches smelled of mothballs just as much as these Party-approved slogans along with the pompous and meaningless parades.

UPDATE 2
Apparently someone was waving a red Soviet hammer-and-sickle flag at Obama celebratory rally in Chicago last night... And the crowd of young brainwashed people took it for granted. Link to video >>

Good Morning (well, that's an oxymoron) Comrade Red Square

As a good progressive card-carrying Socialist, I want to know when I  we can expect the goodies promised by our new President-elect? Speaker Nancy said that the bi-partisan congress will make it happen.  We gave them carte-blanche to do as they wish, but how long before the trickle-up effect will be put in operation?
There is so much to do, and we need money to get started.  Please inform the proper Party officials to send the forms needed to abscond with the loot start the process, soon.

Many thanks comrade,

Che' Gourmet

PS  I assume that all these slogans will be in poster form so that I may post them in the People's Hells Kitchen?

Although I am ultimately hopeful for the future, the conservative movement has to reclaim it's vision and voice.  Reasons for voting against "The One" were not compelling enough to drag John McCain over the finish line.

As for Obama....I am still haunted by Ayn Rand's words in The Voice of Reason:

"A culture is made -- or destroyed -- by its articulate voices."

By the English poet P. Townsend

We'll be fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone
And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgement of all wrong
They decide and the shotgun sings the song

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around me
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again

The change, it had to come
We knew it all along
We were liberated from the foe, that's all
And the world looks just the same
And history ain't changed
'Cause the banners, they all flown in the next war

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around me
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
No, no!

I'll move myself and my family aside
If we happen to be left half alive
I'll get all my papers and smile at the sky
For I know that the hypnotized never lie

Do ya?

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

There's nothing in the street
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Is now the parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around me
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
Don't get fooled again
No, no!

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss

Thanks for the lyrics - I never really listened to them before. They were good (although I guess Obama would call them cynical).

Can I now officially say, without sounding like my parents, that in my days pop music was better?

Why wasn't Obama there this morning to fold my laundry?  Damnit I was up all night watching the election returns and I'm worn out today.  The least he could do is show up and make me breakfast.  Where the hell is the Change?  Where the hell is the Hope?  Where the hell is my Bloody Mary?

Got a problem with that?   Oh...sorry.  I'm still in a foul mood from the Party's celebration.  What a fuc$%#@ mess they left.  Oh, well, such is life.  Back to the trenches, comrades. (out of character)
No matter how disturbing the prospects of having a socialst president may be, the silver lining is that we are able to build a strong opposition, and after people begin to realize how miserable they are (i.e. Jimmy Carter's misery index) they will cross the party line in droves. to add to that, we will be able to complain and whine until 2010, then we need to get serious again, but we can treat them like they treated President Bush and his supporters..

Further to expand on Navigator's question, I found this comment on a Russian-language blog today by a guy named Libertarian who was recommending the People's Cube to his Russian readers. It's his response to the Obama election (my guess is, he lives in a big US city):

My translation of what Libertarian wrote

Awaiting the Morning After
(inspired by orgasmic screams of liberasts under my windows)

I remember how my late grandfather described the morning of Nov. 8th (October 26th 1917) in St. Petersburg.
To my great regret (I was a faithful Young Pioneer then) I had learned that Grandfather didn't storm the Winter Palace like everybody else, but spent that night at the opera listening to a famous singer and then at a night club.
"And what did you do in the morning?" I asked him. "Wasn't it clear that the change had come?..."
"They had some slogans hanging out there," he shrugged. "But we had seen so many various slogans in the past six months - one more slogan didn't make a difference. Nobody cared to pay attention..."
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Comrades,

Have been living as capitalist dog for many years. I am now a believer that my past was truly evil! Last night I went to bed in the United States of America; this morning I arose in the glorious United Socialist States of Amerika. I am smart enough to see the writing on the wall (or as my Russian friend says, "the people under the snow").

After eating a breakfast of black bread and potatoes and going to the hardware store to purchase new shovel (just to get into the mood), I promptly went to Reeducation Facility. Not that bad! They remove your brain and iron out all the wrinkles (nod to FLCL), then they reinsert it anally. It was uncomfortable at first, but sitting on it while waiting for government checks to arrive induces a feeling of euphoria and well being. Sure beats busting my hump every day to earn a living and purchase nice things for my wife who also works (she will be reporting for reeducation tomorrow)!

I was extremely encouraged to see all the young people come out in Washington DC to stand around the Capitol and wave their Soviet flags and wearing their sickle and hammer t-shirts.

What happens next? What I'm asking is, how will faith, hope and change promulgated by the Great Deceiver manifest itself?

The Fairness Doctrine?
Removal of guns?
Absence of food?
Absence of work?
Taxation programs unlike anybody ever expected?

What will be the metaphorical "Canary In The Mine"?

I expect is will be similar to being eaten by an Anaconda.

You say you want a revolution
Well you know
We all want to change the world
You tell me that it's evolution
Well you know
We all want to change the world
But when you talk about destruction
Don't you know you can count me out

Don't you know it's gonna be alright
Alright, alright

You say you got a real solution
Well you know
We don't love to see the plan
You ask me for a contribution
Well you know
We're doing what we can
But if you want money for people with minds that hate
All I can tell you is brother you have to wait

Don't you know it's gonna be alright
Alright, alright, al...

You say you'll change the constitution
Well you know
We all want to change your head
You tell me it's the institution
Well you know
You better free your mind instead
But if you go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao
You ain't going to make it with anyone anyhow

Don't you know know it's gonna be alright
Alright, alright

Alright, alright
Alright, alright

This kulak quote:
"They had some slogans hanging out there," he shrugged. "But we had seen so many various slogans in the past six months - one more slogan didn't make a difference. Nobody cared to pay attention..."

This was because he didn't have enough spare CHANGE to pay attention. Now that CHANGE has come, everybody must pay attention and tribute to The ONE.

I must say The ONE has delivered.
Yesterday, when I got into my hybrid Sputrabant, just like magic, the tank was full. I carpooled with Hussie to the gulag and her silicone boobprint offset my carbon footprint allowing my Sputrabant to get a million miles per gallon, never needing a refill.
Then when I got home from a hard day's night on the watchtower and razor wire, I found a stamped, paid in full, mortgage note from Goradmortgage in my mailbox. All I have to do now is get it recorded and the dacha is mine....I mean The People's™.

I remembered this poetic masterwork Tuesday morning:

Endless Enigma
(K. Emerson & G. Lake)

Why do you stare
Do you think that I care?
You've been mislead
By the thoughts in your head

Your words waste and decay
Nothing you say
Reaches my ears anyway
You never spoke a word of truth

Why do you think
I believe what you said
Few of your words
Ever enter my head

I'm tired of hypocrite freaks
With tongues in their cheeks
Turning their eyes as they speak
They make me sick and tired

Are you confused
To the point in your mind
Though you're blind
Can't you see you're wrong
Won't you refuse
To be used
Even though you may know
I can see you're wrong
Please, please, please open your eyes
Please, please, please don't give me lies

I rule all of the earth
Witnessed my birth
Cried at the sight of a man
And still I don't know who I am

(Chorus)

I've seen paupers as kings
Puppets on strings
Dance for the children who stare
You must have seen them everywhere

...sigh....

Great news, Comrades!

The Spreading of The Wealth tm has begun!

Last night at about 8pm CST I was working on some documents when suddenly everything in the house went dark.  The whole block had a massive power outage - 367 people w/o power - lasting for an entire hour.  Assuredly, the power was being distributed from those of us who had it to those who were less fortunate.  Even within these two days it has begun and we are already experiencing the glorious exultation of sharing the Change tm.

I was so moved I wrote this poem, convinced that we have not elected a machine but a true leader with a heart and a mind - as comrade Maya Angelou so eloquently gushed -

Psalm 20 of the 3rd (unless the party holds up 4 fingers)

1Obama is my shepherd there is nothing I shall lack
2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me by the protected wetlands
3He restoreth my hope: he leadeth me in the paths of social change for his name's sake.
4Yeah, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of higher taxes, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy ego they comfort me
5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of Machmoud Achmadinejad and Bill Ayers and Kim Jong Il and Vladimir Putin and Hugo Chavez and... gee, my cup runneth over.
6and thou anointest me for processing
7Surely Reverend Wright shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of Saud forever.

Comrad,
I have noticed that few comrades give thanks when they are smiled upon by the Change™ that has already begain. At 6pm MST I was sitting in the dark polishing my shovel when suddenly the lights came on! Looking outside at the great plains of Colorado I saw many lights on. I knew at once that this was a gift from the Obamessiah. For one hour the central heat blew warm air into my home and the baby slept in comfort. So thank you comrade AbecedariusRex, for your sacrifice was well recived!

My dear comrades,

Each day gets more and more glorius.  We're going to do some cleanup.  We're going to CHANGE THINGS.  They want change, they get change.  We're going to change the currency; my picture belongs on dollars, or USSA rubles.

I want that damn Lee Greenwood song changed.  Instead of banning it, I want you to change the words - the lyrics, those of you who write songs and poems, you know what to do.  Use the teachings of Rev. Wright and his famous quotes.  Sing about the workers' paradise.  Then get somebody to sing it, record it, get it out there.

All the victorius best, comrades.
The IRON DREAM is here!
Glory to THE ONE!
GLORY TO ME - because I am in control.

Comrade Saul

Comrades,

Today is a great day! The new AmeriKa, A SOVIET AmeriKa, has dawned. Soon, great sacrifices will have to be made by the proletariat. They can start by handing over their money to the government. Toward that end, I recommend that we inform our "puppets" (the Democratic Party) that the Obamessiah is required to nominate Chairman Meowsevich S. Punchenko as the new Secretary of The Treasury!!! After all, comrades!!!! We are not Capitalists!!! The Party™ must get it's cut.

If tomorrow all the things were shared
I'ld worked for all my life
And I had to start again
I'd leave my kids and wife
And sell my soul to Barry
It' progressive to be Gay
'Cause Obama gives us freedom
And he could take that away

And I'm asamed to be an American
where heathcare isnt free
And I wont forget when Oprah cried
Barry gave that right to me
And I gladly stand up next to you
For wealthspread is today
Cause there aint no doubt Wright hates this land

God Damn the USA

From the lakes of Minnesota
to the hills of Tennessee,
Across the plains of Texas
from sea to shining sea.
From Detroit down to Houston
and New York to L.A.,
well There's pride in every DemocRATs heart
and it's time we stand and say:

-------------I cant find the cone of silence...I am new....It goes HERE-----------
...My attempt at Obamising that Lee Greewood song...NOT my best work but it was actually PAINFUL to butcher the song. On Monday before the election I went to a performance of The Colorado Springs Childrens Chorale because my daughter is a member.(little brag on her behalf) They sang a collage of patriotic songs at the end, leaving me to think of what might lay ahead for those kids, creating a twinge of fear about civil war. Deep in thought, and hearing distant gunfire I failed to notice the children had left the stage. I looked up and there was my daughter, who huged me, then steped back, and stood facing me. Glancing around I noticed other kids infront of their parents. They then proceeded to sing "Dream a dream" ( a very hippy song really) my daughter sang this looking me right in the eye, like she knew, like she saw where my head had gone. I cried, OK?!? She shined a light in the deepest darkest place in me, and it is this I cling to, it is this that makes me be able to say that no matter what happends now, where we go from here, IT WILL BE OK, there is real hope- it was in her eyes and she gave it to me and I will NOT let her down!

Is an excellent piece of propoganda the video celebration in Red Square of the 60th Anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution.  Is genius that you were able to flawlessly insert footage from Obama rallies into the original Soviet footage.  I was almost unable to detect the edits, but the apparent enthusiasm in the faces of some participants is never actually seen among the proletariat who actually live under communist rule.  The smiling Obamunists celebrate neo-Trotskism without having lived it.  They will soon be living below the breadline.  As my Russian uncle used to say "One may make up a soft bed, but still it will be hard to sleep in."

Nice video, BTW. Is this what's happening these days in the formerly Wild West? It just confirms my old belief that the West was originally settled by hippies. All the later stories about the pioneers, hard-working first settlers, and cowboys were mere historical revisionism that happened during The BushYears™.*

There's a Simpson's episode that ends with Grandpa Simpson walking off, saying something like "So long, suckers!" as the family looks on and Bart says, "I'll never trust another old person again."

Of course, the problem is how to define "old." I recall seeing pictures or footage of '60s radicals yelling and holding signs saying "You can't trust anyone over 30!" I wonder if they trust themselves. The way they're bailing out of California and other People's Paradises to ruin Arizona, Colorado, and Idaho, apparently not much.

Comrade PF 196704,

Surely you will be promoted to kolkhoz planner for your glorious idea: As in the USSR and China, eliminate all time zones! From now on, it's Obama Time across the nation, with Chicago as the reference in respect for the birthplace of the New States and New Leader.

No more Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific, Whatever, More whatever, and Hawaii time zones. Oh, Guam Time--that's gone, too. Just Obama time.

Think how simple the public service announcements will be by slapping Obama's head onto MC Hammer's. Not Hammer Time but 'Bama Time!

For those of us in inclement weather areas, it will be nice to force those in Hawaii, Guam, Saipan, and American Samoa to work 9-5 at night and be forced to sleep during the tropical days. After all, it would only be fair. Think of it as "spreading the time around."

Marshal, there is grumbling here and no Texan says no. As you know, we can secede from the union or split into five states. There was a lot of grumbling during the Carter years and I sported a SECEDE bumper sticker.

In fact I just ordered a few dozen which I will give out at my office.

If Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana seceded from the US, we'd control half the oil production and refining in the US and we could impose a separate tax as do the Yankees on coal. Which might not be a bad idea anyway.

I'm hoping for a very cold winter in the certain states, hoping that blue states have blue lips.

I haven't felt like this in 30 years. But then there was no other place on earth which could take the lead--China and India were groaning under statism or communism. Now China is still communist but has realized that capitalism can bring money. The moonbats' hatred of capitalism and America will let China, which has the worst of capitalism (the unbridled greed of some capitalist SOBS) and good old-fashioned totalitarianism both. 30 years ago that was thought impossible. Now we know it is. If America is crippled, who will stand for human rights? And I mean freedoms, not what the moonbats call freedom, which is merely the freedom of responsibility and choice.

As usual you make a remarkably great comment, one I have thought but never really expressed. In some ways, China is becoming more like the US I used to respect other than their record on human rights, but even there, it seems there has been some movement, and I expect more will come as their economy grows. Unlike those hollywood wonders that said they were going to leave the US, but never did, I have little doubt I would if I had the financial resources to do so. But there are so few countries out there that I could consider. Israel would probably be my choice believe it or not, but they will probably be the last nation to relent to the forces that seem to have taking over in so many places. Australia is still way up on my list. I am so depressed. I still can't believe what we just voted in, a Marxist cultist. And I suspect that whether he is there for 4 or 8 years, he will have opened up yet more cans of worms that will never be closed again, in a nation that is already starting to feel the strains of past surrenders to socialist aims.

Marshal, Melanie Phillips, of The Spectator made the comment on Israel's 60th anniversary that they might be the only liberal (in the good sense) nation left in 60 years. Try The Spectator for a very sharp woman.

Adam Smith said there's a good deal of ruin in a nation. And I think he's right. My worry though is that people are so entitled, so self-indulgent, but I repeat myself, that they will not understand that freedom must be defended all the time. A trivial example: I don't smoke but I defend smokers' rights to smoke. It's not all about me.

I believe in liberty--the ability to do what you want. My mother, an intelligent woman who died, young, in 1992, said, "Your rights end where my nose begins" and I've never heard a pithier statement. That's my definition of freedom. But as I bang on I have been thinking about other definitions of freedom and the current definition is freedom of consequence.

True freedom cannot stand freedom of consequence. Freedom means individual responsibility. It demand that people stand up and say, "I am what I am and that's all that I am." And mean it. It requires a courage which doesn't exist in the age of self-esteem and grievance.

I thought Old Joe O'Biden planned to split Texas into 3 states like Iraq: Glorious People's Socialist Paradise Austin Commune (GloP SPAC), Kulakastan of Norte Tejas (KoNT), and West Texas (GULAG).

<off>reminds me of the Carter era song Freeze a Yankee:  "Freeze a Yankee, drive seventy-five and freeze ‘em alive"

What then of the purple states? Have you seen Colorados election map? On second though as Colorado is blue on the main election map, and our wishes were granted Denver and the ski towns would be swallowed by the earth, and the Broncos would get a coach and move to the Springs... I digress What of the purple states?

Comrade Hillary,

Come here at once.

It is time to present you a lofty position high in the party.  Your loud voice and your ability to intimidate the weak minded is exactly what the party needs.  You may indicate your preference as I reorganize this dicked up country.

I want you in a position to dole out punishment and retribution to those who dared to cross us.

Comrade Hillary, do you prefer the the Secretariat, Supreme Court, Central Committee, Council of Ministers or the Supreme Soviet?  I want you to head up the GULAG project.  After I pardon all prisoners in all prisons, we'll have much room for political prisoners.  You will take care of this for me, right Comrade Hillary?

LONG LIVE MARXISM-LENINISM-STALINISM! - the triumphant banner of Great October, the powerful ideologial weapon of the workers of all nations in the struggle against imperialism, for the victory of socialism and communism.

Soooo...in 5 seconds...

  • Media intellectuals like Obama and Alinski

  • Obama micromanages and is deeply manipulative

  • He is allusive, secretive

  • He is charismatic like Reagan

  • He is 1st Dem majority pres since Carter

  • He acts mature, but hip

  • Geia, The Lord God Almighty, the Fates, and THE OBAMESSIAH split the seas/crashed the market and MADE him president

  • He spent more money than anyone

  • His believers love him like Reagan was supported by conservatives

  • He is already concerned with his legacy

  • USA is still more conservative than Euro-socialism, but we will "improve" slowly

  • We are in "The Age of Obama" now and must kill Palin's character

The uncontested absurdities of today are the accepted slogans of tomorrow. They come to be accepted by degrees, by precedent, by implication, by erosion, by default, by dint of constant pressure on one side and constant retreat on the other - until the day when they are suddenly declared to be the country's official ideology. ~ Ayn Rand
