ohaiyogoziamasu,

ogenkidesuka.

hai, as i have said in the past, i will rightfully retake my natural place at the head of the world. the weak obamasan, although good at reading from prompters, does not have the fortitude to unite the people of the world in harmony. this fortitude does not come from talking and making compromises, it comes from commanding equality. and as the most equal, i will command an unwielding katana of equality.

notice all people of the world, obamasan demonstrates the proper form when in the presence of true leadership. i will lead you to shared prosperity. you will learn this form and submit to conformity in the name of the greater good.

this is a good day for the world. come grovel in the obama way and maybe you will be given a more equal share in life.

arigatou,
emperor kakubakuhatsu

(hai, please start your grovelling below. domo)

Arigatou gozaimasu!!

*bows*

...and here I was, thinking that this thread reminded me of the title of an American soap opera.

Oh, wait a minute...

There are three kinds of bows: the first is just about five degrees and is a greeting for friends; the second is about 10 degrees and is for a boss or senior in business; but the third one is at a full 15 degrees and is reserved for heads of state or The Emperor.

Obama's 15 degree bow to The Emperor of Japan was correct.

The People's Math! If you draw a line from His O'liness hip to his shoulders this is a 90-degree bow. That's six times as progressive as a 15-degree bow!

But having Barry, Lord Obama, bow is just natural. After all, his back is the same angle as his TelePrompTer's. You know that they say, progressive see, progressive do...

Which begs the question, at what angle does the TOTUS use for bowing to royalty?

hai, sodesu.

obamasan was correct in bowing as he recognized me as the superior statesman. a bow in which was also correctly NOT returned. not shown immediately after this photo was the submissive obamasan spit shining my size 26cm loafers and buffing them out with his sleeve, as any servant rightfully should do. and might i say he did that well, as if he had done it his whole life.

now that obamasan of the great united socialist states of america has bowed to me... i need to hear more grovelling by the rest of you ...if you do not want to face the sharp end of the katana of equality.

emperor kakubakuhatsu.

O Esteemed Emperor,

Is it proper to shake hands while bowing?

PROG OFF
It seems a bit odd to me...

You know, if wasn't for Japan being the third or forth greatest enemy of socialism in the world to day (a position it has held since the end of the first world war) and if wasn't for the fact that a militarized (nuclear capable) japan could be one of the greatest checks to chinese and North Korean military agression I would be very happy about this and not paranoid that japan may actually perswade the great leader to act in defense of the evil western world.

On the other hand it always good to see the most powerful man in the world show how equal he is with respect to an idividual who ancestor's political position hasn't had any actual authority in 1500 odd years.

Hmmm, while likely not from as qualified an expert as Zany62, we have this conflicting opinion:

Hot Air wrote: Japan expert to ABC: Yes, Obama's bow made him look like an idiot

So much of an idiot, in fact, that according to Tapper's source, at least one Japanese paper isn't running the photo out of embarrassment. This tool actually groveled himself into a minor international incident.

The good news for O-bots? It wasn't unprecedented. Nixon evidently made a modest bow to Hirohito in the early 70s. The bad news?

“Obama's handshake/forward lurch was so jarring and inappropriate it recalls Bush's back-rub of Merkel.

“Kyodo News is running his appropriate and reciprocated nod and shake with the Empress, certainly to show the president as dignified, and not in the form of a first year English teacher trying to impress with Karate Kid-level knowledge of Japanese customs.

“The bow as he performed did not just display weakness in Red State terms, but evoked weakness in Japanese terms….The last thing the Japanese want or need is a weak looking American president and, again, in all ways, he unintentionally played that part.

But golly, it's so great to have a world-wise edumacated super-smart Harvard lawyer guy in the White House instead of that stupid moron GWB, ain't it?

TOTUS does not bow.

That's because TOTUS was made in America.
