Hierarchy of Disagreement

The art of debating now has its own pyramid.

It has its roots in the two other pyramids:

Maslow's hierarchy of needs

And probably this one. Although I think the mimes obviously belong in the basement of the first pyramid.

I have a vision. A vision of a world along the banks of an eternal river. As the mists of the morning clear, the horns sound in the village near the river. Slowly, and with many exagerated stretches and yawns, 100,000 Mimes rise from their pallets and trudge to the river to immitate washing. Then they trudge by a long, empty table and pretend to pick up a crust of bread and gnaw on it theatrically while they shuffle up from the village. The sun rises higher. The camera angle widens. And there, gleaming in the morning sun is the Great Pyramid of Mimephis. Dust begins to rise as the mimes pick up their tools (these are real) and start another day. They work silently, dragging and fitting huge blocks of peach-colored sandstone, building a great edifice that will one day be the tomb of the Great Mime. The only sound (other than the grind of stone on stone) is the occasional whip-crack as an overseer reminds a mime that pretending to pull on a rope does not count. All day long they cut and paste their stones in place. Then, as the sun sinks, they walk against the wind back to their huts and hovels to sleep the sleep of the just, for their labors have been mighty.

But during the night a strange thing happens. A woman wearing a headscarf and carrying a shovel, two dog-headed gods, and a white-haired warrior stride from the darkness, and with them comes a small host of other beings. They swarm over the pyramid and, with ease, tear down all the mimes have built that day.

When the mimes get up the next day and see what has happened it makes no difference. They know that what they are doing is right, is permanent, cannot fail. And like cattle, they take up the day's labor again, building up that which was lost, never noticing all the other people, the normal people, are ignoring them entirely. Except for the few who stop, and point, and laugh.

What do the mimes eat? What can they possibly feed upon?

Negative energy?

The souls of the uninformed.

Yes, the ass ushanka is very fitting. Perhaps as part of the people's uniforms, because you cannot have socialism without uniforms, all prols, or maybe just Politburo, should wear an ass ushanka. We need the cube surrounded by the wreath though. No stars just cubes.
