How Cuba Survived Peak Oil

User avatar
Comrades, thisamazing presentation in Olympia Cooperative details the noble story behind how Cuba survived the loss of it's oil imports in the 90's and managed to adapt from being a backwards island nation propped up by the Soviet Union, to being a backwards island nation propped up by it's socialist allies in South America. If Cuba can manage to get along with minimal oil supplies, anyone can.

Soon with ObamaCare, we will be one step closer to the glorious example of Cuba that so many like to hold dear. Below is a picture of glorious People's Housing in Cuba, so that we all may continue yearning for the Glorious World of Next Tuesday and all the socialist advances it will bring to us.

I salute the Cuban people's affinity for retro modern stylishness. Refrigerators and autos modeled after the 1950's look. It's like stepping into a Batman cartoon of Gotham City. They have shown that Socialism is truly the hautest form of coteur.

I don't like this at all. This house has far too much individualism for my taste. Look at the balcony where the four proles are enjoying themselves in glorious idleness. Then look upwards. What do you see? No proles, that's for sure. And no balcony that matches the one below. It's not only different but it looks bourgeoisie! Where are the proles that should be on the bourgeoisie balcony waiting for their State handout? At work perhaps? No comrades, Cuba has long way to go before they reach maximum socialist bliss.

Ah, yes. A glorious glimpse into what the lovely but overly-industrialized state of Washington will look like after they have been following the eco-advanced People's Republic of Fidel for a few decades. Hold on to those old and worn Birkenstocks. They just might come in handy one day when you can't afford a new pair of shoes.

Progress comrades! Progress! Cars of Cuba > Car Prints > Google Images

Or maybe just open it up for a Museum?
