Funny, this was one of the first songs I learned to play on the guitar - but I could never make out the lyrics besides the refrain. Now I googled them... Sounds like a parody. You think Alvin Lee meant it in earnest? If so, he definitely deserves to be awarded with the Obamunist Trapezoid of Hope, and this song must be the theme song of the Obama campaign.

The music, if it can be called that, sounds to me like spun bearings under a load with occasisonal grenades going off. I even ask they turn off the music as it makes me unstable!
