Why Vladimir Putin Wants Texas to Secede from the U.S.

The Kremlin has also apparently harnessed its considerable army of Internet “trolls” to gin up discussions of Texas eventually seceding from the Union on various platforms globally.

References to Texas have become strangely common in statements of Russian officials, up to and including President Vladimir Putin who, as Michel notes, accused the U.S. of “grabbing” Texas from Mexico in a rambling speech to the nation last December.

Let the Revolution begin! Are you down for the cause? Oppressed by the MAN? SECEDE! Just like the Soviet supported secession of Ukraine, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Yugoslavia, Croatia, Macedonia well, in theory, it ought to work! Why? PUTIN wants it! The science is settled, the thinking has been done.

Texas has been pretty much annexed by Mexico, but does have a much better economy. It's like Mexicos Taiwan.
