Tyler Perry has a dream. He should be able to do any type of outrageous behavior he desires without reproach. He is, after all, one of the One Percent who have earned immunity to reproach. Any scrutiny must then be due to race, certainly.

Tyler Perry was stopped in Atlanta while taking a left hand turn from the extreme right lane, and who among us does not do this with some regularity. (Atlanta has disallowed this standard driving maneuver to form a race trap for the people's driving) Some racist police person stopped Mr. Perry because he was black while turning left. Or as Congressman Bobby Rush (D. –Ill) would put it, "Tyler Perry was stopped M. A. L. T. F. T. E. R. L. W. B. B. (making a left turn from the extreme right lane while being black).

One can only imagine what traffic infraction might be sufficiently egregious to warrant stopping a person of color without suspicion of racism. Wildly making a u-turn, crossing the median, running over a baby buggy, swerving into a golf course and killing the lady on the first tee ... would that do it? Maybe not.

Until all of our comrades are free to drive any way we wish without fear of being stopped because of our color ... none of us are free.
