Out On The New Horizon

Horizon 37.jpg

They've heard our People mourning
Wanting freedom, something that was once our Nation's stock and trade
And if you'll vote for these good guys
You'll snatch defeat from jaws of the Dems evil shadow

Out on the new horizon
You will see the image of three men as distant Angels sing...
"Be gone the creep with the big ears!"
"STOP all the footsteps running across open borders!"

They are concerned -- invaders harm you
Actually will defend our Land, I am sure of
No hollow dreams with these guys, no sir!
They are the Right's respective honest guys for Gov

They will answer Dems missteps
Lead you through every instance that the Lib'rals have in mind
They won't play lying, evil games
As those before them, but give us things to believe in

When you call they'll come runnin'
Rebuild long abandoned ruins from the schemes Dems left behind
Try to remember how it was
When we all had jobs and things to give our fam'lies

They are concerned and will not harm you
Actually defending our Land I am sure of
No hollow dreams with these guys, no sir!
They are the Right's respective honest guys for Gov

For all our dreams and our Lands wonders
They are the Right's respective honest guys for Gov

[PROG OFF}

Googie, Elusive Butterfly is my favorite song ever in the world, and has been since 1966! One of my earliest memories was watching Lind singing it on TV, I think American Bandstand. Thanks for the memories!!

Comrade Kelly Ivanovna, I'm so glad I used a song that you love and is your most favorite in the world! :) I hope I did it justice.

If I had to pick one song in the whole world that I would say is my favorite, it would be this one: Young Rascals "How Can I Be Sure" 1967. I love the voice, I love the sound.

So many, many good songs, but this one always comes to my mind first. :)

(Prog still off, sort of ..)

Yes, Komradina Kelly, the Young Rascals definitely were batting about 200 points above their average on this song. This song came out at a time when Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band was sucking all the oxygen in the pop music scene, so it was overlooked.

Deep in my heart of hearts I thought this song was beautiful, but I had to assert my pre-adolescent, Eisenhower-era--influenced notions of pre-manhood and curb my enthusiasm for it, because it was just too .... "girlie"

But I'm guessing, Googie, that you must have been in your teenage years when this came out. Why else would it affect you so deeply

To my dear Comrade Callmelennie ~~~

I can't say you are right Comrade and I can't say you are wrong. Who knows, I may be pushing 100, but you always make me smile. Remind me never to play Poker with you. ;)
