Accusations of racism at FRC's Values Voter Summit

Image
The kind of hate speech these reactionaries are trying to pass off as political satire (whatever that is) makes me sick to my stomach. Thankfully there were some brave patriotic protester on hand to cry "Racism", resulting in the removal of these thought criminals, although I wonder why they weren't arrested.

Kudos to the Family Research Council for cowardly capitulating to the American Atheists at the first sign of controversy.

Eric Herrman from American Atheists said the box was racist because it conjures up images of Aunt Jemima, the woman portrayed on a syrup bottle.

Spokesman for Family Research Council J.P. Duffy said that those in the organization did not look closely at the box until someone brought it up. Duffy said the executive director thinks the box is racist and if Joe Biden were portrayed, it would have been fine.

"He thought it was just about Obama waffling on the issues. We had no idea until looking at it closely what was on the box," Duffy said. "It's just that this could be taken offensively."

Aaah, but isn't Eric Herrman more of a racist since he made the association before anyone else did? Is not the Party rule for this sort of thing "He who smelt it, dealt it?" Comrades, we must eliminate racism, sexism and all the other double-plus-ungood "isms" from our midst as we purge the world of them (it also helps us keep in practice!) I request the Politburo arrest Eric Herrman on a charge of THOUGHTCRIME!

Never again, Comrades. Never again will we let George Bush and McSame keep poor Aunt Jemima enslaved to Big Pancake Mix.

Well I for one certainly feel that it is inexcusably racist to insinuate that an African American woman might be able to cook good pancakes. And to insinuate that she is a professional cook is doubly insulting.

Only if we're pissed at him, Opiate, only if we're pissed. And if he seems to be able to be prolier than thou. Can't have that.

Brain in a Jar, it is indeed racist to think that a black woman might be a good cook. Or a Mexican for that matter. In fact it would be racist to eat at any restaurant which didn't have only straight white male cooks.

In fact, it would be racist to go to any doctor who was not a member of an accredited grievance group, or to even enter a building when there janitors were not those same straight white males.

Here on the health-conscious Left Coast, we prefer brown on rice.

But, I don't get it. I like waffles. Can I say waffles? I thought Aunt Jemima was a black woman. Is there something racist about being a black woman? This is very confusing. I want to do the right thing. Can I eat at Chicken 'N Waffles anymore? Oh god! Just when I think I have everything figured out WHAM another curve-ball.

Yes Comrade Margaret, Aunt Jemima is a black woman exploited by the evil capitalist war republikkkan evil corporate hate machine! You should not use Aunt Jemima!! Or even mention her name for your could be convicted of Thoughtcrime for perpetuating stereotypes!
Maybe if Aunt Jemima ran a campaign ad with her rooting out evil white male oppressors and stringing them up, then kicking back and enjoying some pancakes with her brand maple syrup, then it would be ok.

A black congresswoman (this would be Sheila Jackson Lee , of Houston), reportedly complained that the names of hurricanes are all Caucasian sounding names. She would prefer some names that reflect African-American culture such as Chamiqua, Tanisha, Woeisha, Shaqueal, and Jamal.

I don't get it. Why does congressperson Sheila have a cracker first name? Asking a leftist victimologist to be logical or consistent is wrong.

Why would ANYONE want a natural disaster named after her or him?

MY HEAD HURTS. I must have committed a thought crime.

Feh! I think the American Atheists are just a bunch of bitter over-educated under-employed fools who are just clinging to their No-God No-Guns meme because they think the government is going to do something to help them!
