My fellow comrades,

As I was laying in my Party approved bed last night, I was listening to the radio and the news was on from the Allowed Broadcasting to Communist network (ABC for the unwashed), and I heard this story. New York(raine) City is trying this experiment, from a Party approved website,

"For three Saturdays in August (the 9th, 16th, and 23rd) certain streets in New York City will be car-free zones. Actually, it will only be for part of the day on those Saturdays, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., that the nearly 7 miles of roadways selected for the "Summer Streets" event will be repurposed for some emissions-free activities."

This is a trial set up to help protect Mother Earth, and to get people who are weight challenged to get out and loose some weight.

My fellow comrades, why must this be only on Saturdays? Can we not make this on Mondays, or Tuesday or Friday? My fellow comrades, please join me in supporting the movement to ban cars all together! Together, we can kill the SUV and save Mother Earth!

Why not go whole beet like the comrades in China did to try and clear their skies for the Olympics? This is just another case of Weak Liberalism being trumped by Strong Communism!

This is the real reason the Progressive People of China are moving into the cities away from the rural areas. Where I live, it is impractical to do away with Mother Earth killing vehicles as everyone lives so far apart from each other, and there are no Party approved means of mass transportation other than an occasional covered wagon train made up of redneck hicks. So we need to move everyone into a nice crowded city with lots of green busses, trolleys, monorails. Sorry, it is way too wet to have subways down here.
