WASHINGTON - House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif) suggested that the sequestration fight is revealing some of her colleagues in Congress as not "on Team America."

Her conclusion was based on a comment made by Rep. Mike Pompeo (R-Kan.) that the sequester cuts are "a home run."

In an impromptu press conference today, Pompeo, who served in the Army after graduating from West Point, was forced to disclose that he is, indeed, a member of the World Police paramilitary group, Team America.

"I had been recruited by Mr. Spottswoode shortly after I entered the service upon my West Point commissioning," Pompeo said. "It wasn't long before I was working with Gary, Carson, Lisa, Joe, Chris and Sarah to stop terrorists and destabilize the hostile nations. As a matter of fact, our greatest triumph was to convince Mikhail Gorbachev to 'sequester' Soviet military budgets."

Mr. Pompeo decided to make the disclosure after a reporter from the San Francisco Bay Examiner had started questioning Ms. Pelosi's claims.
