Anyone who grew up in America knows that after Christmas, Halloween is the second most-beloved holiday among children. If you’re a kid, there’s a lot of joy to be had on a holiday when you can dress up in a costume and collect bags and baskets of candy, and it’s even more fun when your school participates or if there’s a parade with a costume contest.

But even as Christmas has its Scrooge and Grinch, Halloween has its haters. Enter D.I.E. (Diversity, Inclusion and Equity), the Killjoy Karens of Liberal Lunacy.

This year, the Lower Merion School District in Pennsylvania cancelled planned Halloween parades—a 50-year tradition—due to “inclusivity” and “safety” concerns. They’re not the only ones. It’s been happening all over America. Seattle’s Benjamin Franklin Day Elementary School canceled Halloween this year because the Racial Equity Team believes it “marginalizes students of color who do not celebrate the holiday” and  makes “students of color” feel isolated.

Oh, really?

Just try telling that to the students of color who made up over 50 percent of participants at our Halloween celebrations in New York City when I was a kid, where public school classes ended a half hour early so teachers could hand out treats to all  the kids. Children of all colors  took part in parades, free movie viewings and contests and raffles sponsored by the Police Athletic League and the Henry Street Settlement.

We were children of all colors, ethnicities and religions having a good time. There were no children “feeling isolated.” The event was entirely inclusive by its very nature because children are more concerned with candy and costumes than skin color and socioeconomics. I know: I was there.

The fate of Halloween—or any other traditional holiday—should not be placed in the pearl-clutching hands of PC zealots over their questions of exclusivity and isolation. Such actions interfere with an especially American process: Americans assimilate and share cultures and traditions, we don’t isolate them in racial and ethnic and socioeconomic cells. We don’t hide them because someone might feel left out. Just as St. Patrick’s Day in America is open to anyone, when everyone is invited to be Irish for a day without complaints from the Irish, traditional American holidays are open to all and all are invited.

You can be sure that while scowling PC-Nazi Racial Equity Teams from coast to coast are trying to kill off our most beloved and revered holidays, the same scolds are quick to include kids in perverse gay pride and transexual events or promote the formerly Texas-only holiday of Juneteenth (which cannot be justified as a national holiday and has apparently been used to supplant Flag Day and the birthday of the U.S. Army, both of which have long been celebrated on the same date).

The solution to the outrageous and uncalled-for meddling with our holidays—with our kids’ favorite holidays—and our American culture as a whole is incredibly simple:

• Recognize that diversity, inclusion and equity is a mask for overt racism. It’s far more than a grievance racket, it’s a fraudulent and divisive socialist philosophy intended to disrupt and undermine current culture based on false claims about historically inaccurate perceptions and interpretations of past events.

• Cancel every taxpayer-funded equity and diversity program in government and at every school at every level.

• Ban the practice and promulgation of diversity, inclusion and equity programs and fire anyone who  teaches them or tries to perpetuate them.

It may seem like a daunting task, but no task is accomplished without taking a first step, and the time to take steps is now more than ever.

Don’t let these over-privileged Happiness Cancel Agents vaporize joy in your collective, comrades.

Turning joy and happiness into sin is a twisted state perversion of natural law.
Full stop.

But what are Nina Jankowicz and Gretchen Witless going to do now? They already have the outfits, makeup and evil laughs. They're all set to go terrorizing on Halloween.

Are you going to believe the Party™ Line or your own lying eyes?

What is Halloween but a training program for our young beet sprouts of redistribution of ill-gotten gains from the bourgeois to the proletariat?

Now, that being said, I do believe that instead of "trick or treat" our little ones should be chanting "I can't Breathe" or "Black Lives Matter", or a variant of "Treats or Peaceful vengeance upon your house!" and any homeowner or tenant who kicks out anything less than a full-sized snickers bar gets a "peaceful protest" treatment.

None of that Charlie Brown "I got a rock" nonsense. THAT'S what's exclusionary! Equal sugar rush for all!

Meanwhile the kids just want to be kids and will do Halloween behind the adults backs - Halloween underground so-to-speak.

Ellsworth wonders,"But what are Nina Jankowicz and Gretchen Witless going to do now? They already have the outfits, makeup and evil laughs. They're all set to go terrorizing on Halloween."

Don't worry - they're meeting up at Kathy Hochul's house. Making some kind of special stew, and I heard they were gonna put a curse on Tulsi Gabbard.

Christine O'Donnell is definitely NOT invited, however Chris Coons might show up. (Sorry - couldn't help it - it's a Delaware thang)
