Hard to argue with that pronouncement, and a strong piece of evidence for it has been clumsily provided through shady Special Prosecutor Jack Smith's kangaroo-court prosecution persecution of former President Donald Trump.
 
Smith—with a demonstrable track record of losing big cases due to his use of overly broad interpretations of narrow legal statutes—has recently issued a search warrant to Xwitter for information about Trump’s account, but far, far beyond just that, Smith wants info on all the accounts that interacted with it and identification of anyone who “liked” a tweet by Trump from October 2020 to January 2021.  
 
Since Smith’s prosecutions are beset by irregularities and tortured legal logic, they’re coming under greater scrutiny and are unlikely to succeed. So why this sudden and outrageous demand that’s clearly not germane to his case? Why this out of place “fishing expedition”?
 
One reason: it’s a desperate move to “legally” discover and gather the identities of potential adversaries of the Banana Republic for the DOJ before Smith’s prosecutions fall apart. In fact, Smith’s indictments are so questionable as to make one wonder if they’ve all along been a ruse meant to gather intel under the rubric of legal proceedings (in addition to hobbling Trump’s re-election campaign).

 
When the political party in power directs the law enforcement, surveillance and prosecutorial mechanisms of the state to target its political opponents, that’s banana-republic tier totalitarian-level activity, and it’s happening now—in the open—in the USSA.

How wonderful to see The Party™ employing clandestine methods to entirely subvert every right that The People™ are convinced they have, until The Party™ disabuses them of that belief.

I'm just wondering about why this Lawman™ thinks obtaining account interactions from other nations' citizens will help his case. I mean, a kangaroo court only works if you DON'T provide evidence of a crime or evidence that a crime wasn't committed. Evidence is anathema to a kangaroo court. This persecutor prosecutor needs some re-education on Party™ methodology. Stop trying to prove your case! Let The Party™ media apparatus do it for you. It's worked before.
