Connie Elliott's contribution revealed how predatory capitalism is undermining our republic. Free Market Capitalism was proffered to justify Western lawlessness involved in The Opium War on China. Opium was illegal in China. But, marketing it was just business.

Walmart closing stores in lawless communities, while promoting sexual lawlessness as a corporation in Bentonville, Arkansas is the vicious cycle of predatory free market capitalism.

Koch Industries bristled at the oversight provided by The Constitution, capable of reprimanding and fining their deceitful business practices purchasing oil belonging to American Indians. Is it any surprise that Koch Industries co-opted Texas' Tea Party reform movement into one to rewrite The Constitution (pushing a so-called "Convention of States" Constitution-disembowling party)? Today, the Republican Party of Texas voters are closely split in support of The Constitution. The result is constitutional chaos within Texas. Cynicism and lawlessness go together making all the people suffer.

In OT Judges (19-to end), the creepy story of the Levite and his concubine is a testament to predatory business operating within a community. The Levite had reasonable expectations of fixed traditions and rule of law within the territory of the tribe of Benjamin. It was the single foundation uniting the 12 Tribes. That expectation went tragically wrong. For the other 11 tribes to allow such a thing to take place within their borders placed them in disunity with their nation's God. All the people suffered.

Allowing free market capitalism to undermine the values of the community produces tragedy. Secure families collide with chaos as free market capitalism's predatory marketing of cannabis exploits children with candyland products.

A republic is preserved when business models edify the community in keeping with reasonable expectations of rule of law and shared traditions of God, family, and government. Allowing business to operate in lawlessness is a poor understanding of American republican economics.

Tik Tok is simply using our own free market capitalism the way Westerners waged the Opium Wars on China.
