Deja Vu

As Al has done this before we know 'zackly just what he'll do
Hey, don't you?
As Al has played the race card before on other times around here
We should probably know just how to deal
With all his spew

And I feel like Al's done this before
Feel like I've seen this before
And you know it make me wonder
What's going on in Ferguson?

Duke Lacrosse
Tawana Brawly
Trayvon Martin
Jews in Crown Heights

Al Sharpton's done this before
Al Sharpton's done this before
Al Sharpton's done this before
Al Sharpton's done this before

Al Sharpton's done this before
We have all seen this before

My dear Comrade Groucho--another song and group I've never heard of before...I need to come out of my hovel more often...it's a beautiful song. Very unfortunate to taint it with the thought of Al Sharpton. But, "When Duty whispers low, Thou must, The youth replies, I can."

I hope it is alright to add my next song to yours? I believe it is along the same theme...

Three brothers 37.jpg
"Brother Hood's Traveling Destruction Show"

Hot August nights
And the gangs hanging 'round
And the glass on the ground going crunch
Move up the road
To the next grocery store
And the sound of us grabbing those beers

Bits of ragged cloth
Stuffed, yet sticking out
And that alcohol
Catches fire so fast

It's flash, brother flash see
Brother Hood's Traveling Destruction Show
No place for babies
And hide the old ladies
And even the hoes
‘Cause everyone knows
Ferguson's Show

Doom is getting it's fill
And when you'd almost bet
They will stop all this mess, three walk in
Thoughts black as coal
And when they lift one voice
Every mic in the place is on them

Start with the Jackson jive
A trio of fakes
Holder Sharpton know
Oakland thugs awake

It's flash, brother flash see
Brother Hood's Traveling Destruction Show
No place for babies
And hide the old ladies
And even the hoes
‘Cause everyone knows
It's Ferguson's Show

(Do ya Do ya)
Brothers
(Do ya Do ya Do ya)
I said brothers
Now you got yourselves six bad hands
And when a brother is trouble
You've gotta reach out your six hands, ahem
‘Cause that's what you're there for
And when your heart is trouble
You've gotta seek out your brothers, man
Mess it up for the whites out there
‘Cause that's what you're there for

Break store's stuff — it's yours
Run amuck this day
Riot hard and go
Just go cray, cray, cray
Do ya Do ya Do ya Do ya Do ya Do ya Do ya Do ya

It's flash, brother flash see
Brother Hood's Traveling Destruction Show
No place for babies
And hide the old ladies
And even the hoes
I said
It's flash, brother, flash see
Brother Hood's Traveling Destruction Show
No place for babies
And hide the old ladies
And even the hoeshttps://

You owe me a bowl of beet gruel now...

Hot August nights
And the gangs hanging 'round
And the glass on the ground going crunch

This is worthy of its own thread

Thank you Comrade. I still get confused when and when not to add to someone's song.

There's an unwritten rule that isn't written any where and I don't know what it says.

Well, Komradina, seeing as how I am the one who appears to have started the obnoxious, parasitic trend of tacking on my songs to a comrade's thread, perhaps I can conjure up some soft and slack rules

If it is a significant parody, as illustrated by your very fine parody on this thread, start a new thread with it. I rarely start my own threads, but "I am The Very Model of the Modern Muslim Radical" was much too significant to tack on to someone else's thread, so I started a new one.

Some other rules that I've observed on successful threads. Best addition -- same topic, same band as illustrated by the "Frankie-fest" or the "Steely Dano-polooza" Other things that work -- same topic with different band OR different topic but same SONG. Moreover, if there is a distinct pattern to the thread, like ten different versions of Neil Scum's "Ohio" or a Frank Sinatra double album about Anthony Weiner, then don't break the pattern

Thank you Comrade Callmelennie!!!--I will have to copy and paste these rules as my brain is not equipped to remember all the fine print. :) Should I go ahead and leave everything as is?

User avatar
Techniquely I should or could have included Deja Vu, Ferguson/Chicago, and Ferguson into one thread as they were all works by those 60's subversives CSN and sometimes Y.

However I am shamelessly working towards a starting thread count of 400.. Pardon my lack of humility here comrades...

That said, "Obama on course with golf clubs" could have been put no where else other than the thread started by our own Comradess Googie...

It would almost appear as though we are making up the rules as we go....

I don't know about you, Callmelennie, but thems sounds like fightin' words to me! I think Comrade Groucho just called all of us Democraps. ;)
