The Bethlehem City Council in conjunction with Roman Occupying Forces released this joint statement.

Bethlehem, as citizens know, is just a small village of less than 1k, who appreciate the self sufficiency of backyard chicken coops and maybe a sheep, or a goat, for milk, eggs, and meat. The BCC has agreed that these backyard chickens, as well as all your pantry items, like milled grain and jars of olive oil will be collected by Roman Commissary Forces. When you hear the Roman Commissary Forces using their battering log on your door, do not force them to break your hinges. Simply open your door and bring out your personal, family rations for contribution to The Greater Need.

We have been aware for some time, that certain shepherds have joined together to watch over their flocks at night out in the surrounding wilderness. Ownership of sheep in a time of commissary supply crisis is an outmoded economic model. While these shepherds may think they are secure, watching their flock at night, hoping some just and righteous King will be born who will rule over them, we at the Bethlehem City Council and Roman Commissary Forces want you to know, it's not happening tonight. We're instructing these small business shepherds to bring your flock of sheep to the Roman Commissary as soon as possible to avoid any unnecessary violence.
