Gestapo Was NOT Just Like ICE

Comrades, as usual, the enemies of all things American use false equivalency as a tool to force change of public perception. This particular example (found on a European image board) stinks of both desperation and amateurishness:

To begin with the uniforms are wrong. The man labeled "Gestapo" is wearing the uniform of an SS SD colonel while one labeled "ICE" clearly has an HSI (Homeland Security Investigations) patch on his chest. And the wrongness keeps flowing with propaganda points based on the writers' ignorance or reliance on the  ignorance of readers.

The top one, for instance, ignores that neither the Gestapo nor ICE are or were private armies and neither served or serves one man.

The rest are all far-left subjective comparisons that create crooked parallels through deceptive phrasing. Examples are use of the terms "ethnic cleansing, intimidating clothing, terrorize neighborhoods, kidnap, innocent people, search warrants, fair trial, concentration camps, hide their faces, the public and fight back." 

This slap-dash propaganda deserves corrections, starting with accurate uniforms, and here they are:  

Comparing ICE with the Gestapo is ludicrous, wrong, and serves no purpose other than sowing distrust and disinformation. But two can play this game.

Also, I must have missed the part where hordes of migrants from Third World countries streamed into Nazi Germany across open borders, used fraudulent elections and ballot harvesting to get into the Bundestag, organized massive social-services fraud to siphon billions from German taxpayers and send it to Africa, and beat up and harassed the Gestapo in the streets of Dresden, Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg, and other major German cities.

If anyone can find documentary footage of that, please post it here to remedy my gap in world-history knowledge.

Very Most Equally Esteemed Comrade Red Square,

I suppose someone somewhere might have tried to beat up and/or harass Gestapo operatives, but I can’t imagine they lived to tell the tale.  The ending of that story probably involved piano wire.


It’s not even apples to oranges.  It’s an apples to transmissions comparison.  Subjects like this one have made my life less trying as I will not hesitate to point out the problems with the alleged line of reasoning.  Thus most of the folks I used to interact with who actively sought out nonsense like this have ceased speaking with me.  Bliss.  I think feel that the late Scott Adams framed it best when he had Dilbert ask, “When did ignorance become a point of view?”
