"I will work with the Senate, I will work with the Senators in the Senate to defend our nations interest, and to keep our military second to none.
As a Lt. Colonel and 30 year member of the Massachusetts Army Nation Guard I will absolutely keep faith with all of those who have served and get our veterans all the benefits that they deserve.
And let me say this with respect to the people who wish to harm us. I believe and I know all of you believe that our constitution and laws exist to protect this nation. Let me make it very, very, very clear… they do not grant rights and privileges to enemies in wartime.
And the message we need to send in dealing with terrorists is that our tax dollars should pay for weapons to stop them and not lawyers to defend them."

No. Nonononono. HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN!? HOW DID GEORGE BUSH MANAGE TO STEAL THE ELECTION!?
{prog off}
Seriously though, I'd figured that Coakley would manage to stuff enough ballot boxes to come out ahead. Nice to see a clean victory for a change!

Well, Howard Dean did saw that it was Bush's fault that Coakley lost, so he must have found a way somehow.
And it probably wasn't clean; it's just that ACORN couldn't stuff enough ballot boxes in time.

Geez, a couple of weeks ago I told my wife if Marcia won by less than 10 points it would be a loud repudiation of Obabbler's crappy crypto-socialism. I guess (hope) a 5 point loss will be EAR SPLITTING!!!

This gives me great hope in California. If it can be done in Massachusett[e]s, it can be done almost anywhere.

TRULY 'glorious' news! I just hope and pray he'll play more conservative and not as a RINO. We have too many of those already and the reason the R's are in the hole they're in!

operation status: complete failure
notes: complete and utter failure of progressive ideals in progressive controlled area. progressive leaders in controlled area allowed citizens to voice opinions. result of break down of thought control, soft propaganda status, unions failed to mobilize and intimidate, media failed to undermine opposition target with false reporting.
necessary action: detain all progressive liberals in hostile area, relocate to whitehouse basement (or biden's secret hideout), mandatory attendance at obama speech rehearsals for minimum of 300 hours, then relocate to nearest re-education center for training in proper use of state property.
reporting agent: blackmarket citizen - the freakin losers black op, ...you freakin unreliable progressives

My dear Blackmaket
Glorious idea. We already have the SEIU and OBAMACORN busses on the ready! All our comrades need do, is PUT these subversives on the bus to the undisclosed relocation/re-education camps.
I love when a plan comes together . . .

I believe Richard Cheney, having the power over weather, was somehow able to channel his power into a mass mind control of the people of Massachusetts to get one of his "irresponsible, homophobic, racist, reactionary, ex-nude model, teabagging supporter of violence against women and politicians which he disagrees" elected. We know that the state of Massachusetts is a stalwart upholder of the peoples ideals. There can be no other explanation. Demonic possession is the only answer.

There is a God, and His name is NOT Barack Obama!
Now! Will we finally stop hearing it referred to as "Ted Kennedy's seat"? It's not some holy relic, for all the Left is surely hoping that when Scott Brown sits in it, he's going to melt and blow up like the bad guys in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Ah, sweet victory.
I love those Untergang subtitle parodies. Especially when they mock the Left. Hitler was closer to the Left than the Right by a long shot.

Am I the only one that sees the irony in this?
The Socialists in Congress have come the closest they ever have at nationalizing our healthcare industry.
Ted Kennedy, a champion of socialist healthcare for decades, dies.
A special election for Senate seat he occupied for approx. 50 years is held.
The winner is a REPUBLICAN who is openly opposed to this healthcare bill horror.
And he is probably going to be the vote that defeats this bill!!!!!
I LOVE IT!!!!

I denounce Irony! There is no Irony except the People's Irony, and Obama is it's Prophet!

It's ironic that Obama and Brown were elected for the same reasons, that's for sure. Obama is right. It's really simple: brown - brown; get it? Politics is so stupid.
1/21/2010, 11:34 am
heheeh . . .but, this somehow sounds familiar. Something I heard from the Obama administration, no doubt.

You are forgetting the BEST part of this. When Comrade Kerry was a "sure thing" to beat Evil Bu$h/Hitler back in 2004, the rule was the Governor of the state appointed a replacement if a Senator could not fill out the term. The Governor at the time was Mitt Romney, Republican (that is not a typo, there really was a Republican Governor of MASS.) who was going to appoint a Republican. This was something that the Dems decided could not happen. So the Dems in the Statehouse changed the rule from appointment to holding a special election. Since the Dems hold a supermajority in the statehouse (big surprise) Romney could not veto the bill. Fast forward to 2009 when Senator Kennedy was very sick. Romney was out of power and Devaul Patrick a longtime pal of President Obama, is now the Democratic Governor. The Dems actually tried to change the law BACK to having the Governor appoint a Senator which begged the question, "Why the hell should we EVER vote in Massachusetts?" Even in liberal Mass, the people thought this was a bad idea. There was a massive public outcry and the Dems didn't change the law because they figured 1)Changing the law would upset a lot of voters and 2)how in the hell could a Democrat who is not a member of the machine or a REPUBLICAN EVER win in the Bay state. Looks like they were WRONG. And THAT dear comrades, is why this victory is sooooo Delicious.

Comrades, the Party wishes you all to know that, despite this small setback in racist Massachusetts, Chairman Obama still holds much power and influence in the Politburo:

Comrades,
On a news forum here in Japan that I have been doing battle with left-wing moon bats for over 5 years now. I called this on January 12th..........Am I good or what. The original response on 12 Jan that I gave was during a discussion about a news article about Palin.
The 20 Jan post was a comment on Senator Browns win (Gawd I can't say that enough SENATOR BROWN REPUBLICAN and CONSERVATIVE)
sailwind at 02:22 PM JST - 20th January
By the way folks, I called this one on Jan 12th no less. Am I good or what.
What a day!
sailwind at 03:42 PM JST - 12th January
The support of her few remaining fans who are vainly clinging to whatever shred of a reason they can find to support her shows just how desparate the GOP's predicament has become.
Scott Brown is going to take Kennedy's Senate seat Jan 19th, I can feel it in my bones and that is how 'desperate the GOP's predicament has become. Sushi, mark my words you ain't seen nothing yet at the backlash for this arrogant Administration and its far left Liberal agenda being shoved down America's throat. New Jersey and Virginia were just a start. Mass is going to be the bombshell. As we say in the Navy "Stand-By for Heavy Rolls" if your a Liberal Democrat and who would have believed the self-destruction in less then one year.
See you on the 19th after the election there.
Now where is Sushi?
By the way Sushi never did respond, what a suprise.

Yes, the ghost of Georgie Porgie is on the loose. He hovers over the ballot boxes in the afternoons, waiting to summon vile rethuglicans to his insurgent empire.
PP, are you aware that you are very much missed over at the Showtrial? We need your hope and change over there to save some very shady characters--I mean, legitimate, honest Progressives.

The uncontested absurdities of today are the accepted slogans of tomorrow. They come to be accepted by degrees, by precedent, by implication, by erosion, by default, by dint of constant pressure on one side and constant retreat on the other - until the day when they are suddenly declared to be the country's official ideology. ~ Ayn Rand
