Communism Survivors Warn What Will Happen if Americans Take Freedom for Granted


Vietnam

Too few have learned about the horrors of communism. Fewer still have escaped it and lived to tell the tale.

Amy Phan West is one such survivor. In 1984, Phan escaped Vietnam's communist dictatorship by concealing herself in the bottom of one of her father's fishing vessels before it set out to sea.

Escape wasn't a question of political preference for Phan and her family. It was one of survival.

In a recent interview with Young Americans Against Socialism (YAAS), Phan told how her grandfather was shot 16 times while laying on her father's lap.

“My dad told my mom, ‘We can't have a future in Vietnam. So we have to leave Vietnam because we will die in the hands of the communists,'” says Phan, an entrepreneur who now lives in America.

Before the communist takeover, Phan's mother and father made a living by fishing. They made enough to feed themselves and put a roof over the heads of their small family, which also included Phan's twin brother and her younger sister. Phan said life was “beautiful and nice” in Vietnam for a time. Things changed quickly, however, under the communist regime.

“Once the communists took over, everything that [my parents] fished they had to give to the communists, the government,” said Phan. “And if they don't do it, they make an example of them. Bury them alive.”






Venezuela

Daniel grew up in socialist Venezuela and stood in the “bread lines” that Sen. Bernie Sanders once said are a “good thing.” He escaped the grips of socialism and is now issuing a dire warning to America.


Venezuela Timeline:

* 1992: Became the 3rd richest country in the Hemisphere
* 1997 Became the 2nd largest purchaser of the F150
* 2001: Voted for Socialist President "Income Inequality"
* 2004: Private Healthcare is completely socialized
* 2009: Socialist ban private ownership of guns
* 2012: Bernie Sanders praises their “American Dream”
* 2014: Opposition leaders are imprisoned
* 2016: Food/healthcare shortages become widespread
* 2017: Constitution and elections are suspended
* 2019: Unarmed citizens are massacred by government

It only took one generation of socialist/leftist leadership to destroy this country.





Nicaragua

Peter fled socialism in Nicaragua and now he's warning America of the direction to which we're headed.

Not to worry. These other countries didn't do it right. In the U.S. we will have DEMOCRATIC socialism and it will be wonderful.

Outrageous capitalist propaganda. The ONLY warning to young Americans about socialism is they will have so much prosperity, so much free time, so much freedom, they won't know what to do with themselves after their 20 hour shift in the beet fields of eastern Montana.

20 hours in the beetfield still leaves 4 hrs for texting on Obama phones, the young ones have nothing to protest.
