Antifa's true icon: Che-Dolf

Some decades ago a wise man said, "The fascists of tomorrow will be called anti-fascists." It seems that tomorrow is already here and we may as well say, "The fascists of today call themselves anti-fascists."
Antifa looks, acts, and thinks like the fascist stormtroopers, being a mirror image of whom they allegedly hate.
Urban Dictionary offers many good definitions of Antifa.

Achtung! Bernie Sanders goes Nazi chic with Shepard Fairey

DID YOU KNOW...?
Antifa Flag Comes Directly From The German Communist Party In 1932
Everything these Alt-Left thugs use today is exactly the same as back then. Their logo, weaponized words, double standards and lack of logic. Its all from Germany 85 years ago. They call everyone Nazis because that is who their opposition in Germany was. Antifa prefaced The National Socialist German Workers’ Party and empowered them. Without Antifa’s violence the Nazi party would have never won anything.

I might add that German Communists helped Hitler to come to power. On Stalin's orders they boycotted the Social Democrats, splitting the vote and allowing Hitler to win. According to modern historical studies, Stalin wanted Hitler to start a war in Europe and bloody up the entire continent, so that later the USSR could move in with their tanks and take over the weakened European countries. Hitler had figured out that plan and attacked the USSR first, knowing full well that he was taking a big risk - but Stalin left him with no choice.
In other words, Nazism was instrumental in the Communist plan to take over the world. Not everything went according to the plan, however, and Stalin was only able to take over half of Europe instead of its entirety. The Cold War was only a continuation of that same effort by other means. The bogeyman of "fascism" in the modern world was mainly a KGB creation, to give credence and moral authority to the Antifa-like groups - the stormtroopers of the communist revolution.

Profs solicit support for 'Campus Antifascist Network
- 'Two professors, one from Purdue University and the other from Stanford University, are assembling a "Campus Antifascist Network" (CAN) to serve as a “big tent” for “anyone committed to fighting fascism.”
- Despite the reputation Antifa groups have cultivated for employing violence to shut down opposing speakers, the professors insist that they only support "self-defense" by "those who are being threatened by fascists.”
Dartmouth scholar endorses Antifa violence
- Mark Bray, a visiting scholar at Dartmouth College, has repeatedly defended Antifa's use of violence in response to white supremacist organizations.
- In a recent appearance on Meet the Press, Bray argued that violence is a "legitimate response" to groups with such incendiary views.
Clemson RAs 'must demonstrate commitment to social justice'
- In order to serve as a Resident Assistant (RA) at Clemson University, students “must demonstrate a commitment to social justice.”
- Just to be certain, the school requires them to complete a nine-day RA training on issues such as microaggressions and common “defense mechanisms” used to fight “triggers.”

This morning's dispatch from Campus Reform's CampusWire:Dartmouth scholar endorses Antifa violence
- Mark Bray, a visiting scholar at Dartmouth College, has repeatedly defended Antifa's use of violence in response to white supremacist organizations.

Back in the old days we began teaching The Children™ at an early age. Comrade Bray should try working the grade school circuit. A couple of the kids in this old photo have already been fitted for their first Antifa Hoods. That's progressive!

In July 1914, radical anarchists who frequented the Ferrer Center, and loosely associated with its adult education program, plotted to bomb the mansion of industrialist John D. Rockefeller. On failing to enter the Rockefeller estate, they took the bomb back to the Lexington Ave. apartment of Louise Berger (a school habitué and an editor of the Mother Earth Bulletin), where it exploded, killing four people, including three of the bombers, and wounding many others, and brought political notoriety upon the Ferrer Center.

HISTORY TIME WITH STIERLITZ!
In which Stierlitz reveals his intense knowledge of symbols and gets slightly miffed at a conservative fakenewsmeister whilst listening to a Beach Boys record.
I hate to poop on the People's Parade, but the "nazi" symbol above isn't strictly a nazi symbol. It's called the Iron Cross, and was an award in the former Kingdom of Prussia for bravery and gallantry during military service. Adolf Hitler had one because of his service in WWI. It also far predates the Third Reich, and was originally drawn up in 1813 by King Freidrich Wilhelm III of Prussia for awarding to his solders who participated in the Napoleonic Wars.
The Iron Cross itself originates from the Cross Patee, a form of the Christian cross that was used by the Knights Templar and the Teutonic Knights, which were a military order that participated in the Crusades. The Cross Patee is also used in the coats of arms and other such regalia on several Ukrainian and Montenegran cities and towns.
It gets deeper. The Cross Patee originates from the Maltese Cross, a symbol used, in one form or another, by every state except one that participated in the Crusades. It is also used in the modern day by the Order of Malta, a Roman Catholic lay order, and is also to be found on nearly every fire department logo. The parochial school I went to had a Maltese Cross incorporated into it's logo. It's found in countless places in Europe and the Anglosphere.
VERY similar symbolism to the Nazi medal above is found in the Distinguished Flying Cross of the United States, see below:
The same sort of symbolism is also found in the Victoria Cross, which is the highest military honor the United Kingdom can bestow:
Similar symbols are also to be found in US Army Marksmanship badges:
I like a good Antifa hit-piece, don't get me wrong, but fake news like this (because that's what it is) is just scraping the bottom of the barrel.
