Barry's birthday marginalized at home, celebrated in Russia

User avatar
“I thought that you guys were going to ask me how I was going to spend my birthday,” he said in exasperation as the conference broke into non-birthday questions. “What happened to the birthday thing?”

At a press conference on his birthday, Dear Leader had to correct members of his good press corpse and remind them that his birthday golf schedule was important to national security.

Our Russian comrades, on the other hand, provided a laser show, complete with joyous wishes of birthday cheer, and honoring his devotion to FLATUS Moo and her healthy eating programs by eating a healthy snack instead of some sorry cake...

I'm conflicted about this. We mock Obama all the time ourselves, but this stunt was pulled off by a group of America-hating, pro-Putin nationalists. So there - take what you see with a grain of salt. I'm writing a serious article about this, hope to publish it soon.

UPDATE:
My article is posted, see my comment below.

I, too, am conflicted. The stunt is blatantly offensive. However, if it were George W. Bush, it would be celebrated by our own America-hating, pro-socialist leftists. Both are equally appalling. But, as I try to hold myself to a higher standard than that of a typical liberal it is important to remind myself that Obama is the American President and it is the office that I must maintain respect for, even when it he makes it so hard to do.

Oh how it does go to show however the complete contempt these nationalists have towards Obama. His fecklessness is contemptible by Pro-American and Anti-American alike. Go figure.

This is Barack's problem. His eagerness to not take decisive stands has now put him at odds with everybody. The Israelis don't like him and Hamas don't fear him. He is abandoning Afghanistan as he did Iraq and as a result he has empowered the American haters and angered American supporters. Respect is different than being liked but it is important to be one of the two if not both. Unfortunately our President is now neither liked nor respected.

The current state of American affairs is dire. With over 2 years to go the world may soon be in serious serious trouble.

With each passing day (for me anyway), it becomes more difficult to parody anything happening politically in the world. I admire my comrades who are able to find the fortitude to do this. Because of them, I also find the strength to carry on and occasionally come up with some funny stuff, a relief/release from my trepidation about what is happening.

I thought about posting, because of Putin's retaliatory sanction of foods imported from the USA, and the digital display regarding Obama's birthday, from Russia (with Love), a video of Louis Prima's "Yes, We Have No Bananas" and/or "Please Don't Squeeze the Banana" but, I just couldn't. It's not funny, not funny at all. So trivial.

Taking into account what I see happening all over the world, as well as in our own country, and the viewpoints of people who think this is great stuff, I sometimes feel like there is a gigantic thumb poised to crush us all, including those who think this is all great stuff. I feel helpless to do anything about it and I don't like it.

I want everyone to be happy and prosperous to the best of their ability. That's all I want. Apparently, that's too much. I don't like it.

El Presidente, our current president has nothing but contempt for us, as well as the "horses" he rode in on. That's a hard thing to live with for 2 plus more years. However, I will do my best to prevail.

I look forward to Comrade Red Square's piece regarding this.

Only one thing I disagree with, Oleg: Say what you want about their politics, but the Nazis were snappy dressers.

So, even after 70 years of failure, millions cold-bloodedly murdered, try, try again?

The worst kind of failure is failing at something that was never worth doing in the first place.

Thanks, Russia, but We'll Mock Obama Without Your Help

Excellent article. We seem to be traveling further into the quagmire rather than out of it.

Good article. One wonders, what next? We have Cold War, Part 2. What will the next two years bring? God forbid, what if Hillary wins in 2016?

Strange days.
