WTF??? Keith Olbermann suspended indefinitely without pay by MSNBC for making political contributions to Democrat candidates without permission (a violation of NBC conflict of interest policy).

Apparently he gave $2,400 (the maximum allowable) to 3 candidates, Conway, Grijalva and Giffords. The FEC filings are available in pdf format at Politico.

This is an outrage! Are you telling me that NBC didn't know Olbermann was in the tank for the Democrats? Or are they just ashamed that his actions have now removed all doubt?

Olbermann's suspension is useful for our narrative that MSNBC is just another GOP mouthpiece run by the KKKapitalist KKKabal. This is just another proof that all media is right-wing media. We must make sure that this story lives for generations to come.

MSNBC didn't suspend him on the basis of contributing to the Democrat Party many more equivalent dollars in daily free plugs to their policies on "his" show paid for by MSNBC. Combined over the years, those free ads and infomercials are at least a 1000 times more valuable than the measly $2,400 he gave them directly.

In other words, comrades: keep doing what you're doing, just don't be overt about it. Olbermann has lost the sense of caution and was rightfully punished.

Comerade Olbermanavich was not rated very high in the motherland TV ratings. He gave money to the Communsit Democrats. ALthough his heart was in the right place, he had a personality that begged to be hit in the face with the drooping breast of a 70 year old beet-farm worker.

There has been talk in certain talking circles that Comcast, the new owner's of MSNBC are intent on changing the political slant (lean forward to the left) in order to improve ratings (those capitalist pigs only see the bottom line). All that said getting rid of guys like Olbermann with his habitually low ratings was a top priority (since he would never moderate his feelings or leanings to appease upper management).

Er, uh, I hate to chastise you in front of other comrades, but over the past two years, there has been a strict policy among our kind to use the term "Democratic" whenever possible, or as I like to say: Democra-TICK, with the emphasis on the TICK. Your calling them Democrat candidates is a serious faux pas. Leninka I do appreciate your point. I know how sensitive Democrats are to being called that. However to be grammatically correct the name of their Party is the Democratic Party and that would make them individually Democrats.

Honestly, the entire concept of democracy and being democratic makes me a bit queasy. The Party name is a hold over from the days of Andrew Jackson and bears little relevance to the modern day Party. Personally I think Social Democrats (as they are called in Europe) would be more fitting.
