Professor Mark J. Bird at the College of Southern Nevada shot himself in the arm with a .22 pistol in protest of President Donald Trump.


College of Southern Nevada sociology professor Mark J. Bird shot himself on campus last month. The professor was found bleeding on campus from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in his arm on Aug. 28. A .22-caliber pistol was found nearby on school property.

A police report details that “Bird said he had shot himself in protest of President Donald Trump” and was staggering around the campus bleeding, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. There was no elaboration in the report.

The professor's wounds are not life-threatening, but he now faces multiple charges for bringing the gun onto campus to carry out the protest.

Bird had been a faculty member at the college since 1993. Bird taped a $100 bill to the mirror prior to shooting himself as a tip to the janitor for cleaning up the mess.

Let us hope that people calm down and get help for themselves before this type of protest becomes common...

When an aging hippy professor shoots himself in the arm, the last thing one would expect to read is "with a gun." Did he run out of the usual stuff he shoots up?

Seriously though, when people deliberately injure their own limbs, it's usually to avoid combat duty. If this happened during the Vietnam War, he might have a chance to become a prog-hero for refusing to fight the fellow commie-progs.

Today, however, we are in the middle of another conflict, an all-out war on the American soil, between the forces of proggism and Trump, the Anti-Prog. Shooting himself in this manner is tantamount to desertion from the #Resistance and calls for an underground military tribunal and show trial.

It is also possible that Professor Bird has fantasized too many times about being shot by Trump supporters after watching MSM broadcasts, but no one bothered to attack him. So the good professor simply lost patience and decided to get it over with by taking the matter into his own hands.

On another note, here's what usually happens to progs when they protest Trump. We need smarter progs!
