Omar is a Muslim convert Carlos Eduardo Almonte, 24, a naturalized US citizen. Saturday night he and his buddy Mohamed Mahmood Alessa were busted at Kennedy Airport as they prepared to board a flight to Egypt, seeking terror training from al-Qaeda-affiliated jihadists in Somalia.

Back in December, 2008 our friend Red Squirrel took this photo of him at a pro-Palestinian rally in Manhattan, organized by a coalition of Muslim and Leftist groups. See the story here. Reproduced on hundreds of blogs, the picture made him a poster boy of jihadist stupidity.

Omar/Carlos was so happy to see his picture on the Internet, he even put it on his FaceBook. He was only being consistent. The next stop in that intellectual journey was to join jihad and conspire to kill, harm and kidnap Americans outside the US since "any Muslim that gets . . . even a 10 percent out of 100 chance of [waging jihad] should risk it . . . because [it's] better than sitting back here and working like a dog . . . and being somebody's puppy."

Being only too honest (just as his comrade-in-arms Helen Thomas), he inadvertently explained the main reason why people like him convert to Islam and join jihad: it beats working!

Let no one fool you about Islam being a religion. Sure, it has a god, and a here-after, and 72 virgins. But in its essence Islam is a political ideology. It is a system that lays down detailed rules for society and the life of every person. Islam wants to dictate every aspect of life. Islam means 'submission'. Islam is not compatible with freedom and democracy, because what it strives for is sharia. If they can get Israel , they can get everything. So-called journalists volunteer to label any and all critics of Islamization as a ‘right-wing extremists' or ‘racists'. In my country, the Netherlands , 60 percent of the population now sees the mass immigration of Muslims as the number one policy mistake since World War II. And another 60 percent sees Islam as the biggest threat. Yet there is a danger greater danger than terrorist attacks, the scenario of America as the last man standing.
