Esteemed Comrades! I just returned from a MARVELOUS afternoon at our local People's office in the village of Cantongrad of the Secretary of State for the Oblast of Michiganistan, where I experienced true progressivism at its FINEST!
I felt humbled and honored to be there to transact some business, and to witness the inactions of the total State workers (numbered SIX) to "assist" about 60 of us with our meaningless business. It was gratifying to know these union employees could do so little while looking as if they were doing much.
Why to beat them, you would have to either be SEIU or TSA union employees, where public goofing off is MANDATORY!
I experienced being ignored, and after a wait of over 2 hours got to be condescendingly insulted by a worker over the most trivial of details, with such glorious responses to questions of "I can't help you with that", and "I can only do ONE transaction at a time", and the piece de resistance of "if you want several things done, give me ALL paperwork at the same time".
Glorious, NO? I was shamed publicly, and sent away feeling that I was not worthy to lift a shovel to dig beets!
Why the training these State officials had was superb, and I salute the True Progressives and their Commissars for their fine work in advancing the efficiency of the Collective.
While the Oblast of Michiganistan has a ways to go before being finally molded into its place in the Progressive World of Next Tuesday(tm), I think the work that Commisarka Granholm has done to date is a credit to her standing in the Party, and she should be commended!

You were only for waiting of the 2 hours??!!! Why Comrade, they were most certain to make much accomodation for you. Truly efficiency has been for progressing and there is no longer the 5 hour wait to coincide with so many of the 5 year plans so everyone is used to what is to be done taking 5 of whatevers.

The waiting seemed only like 5 hours due to the cheap plastic chairs they use!
These are for keeping you awake so as not to disturb the officials by random snoring.
When one comes in, an official walks around barking to you to form a line and then hands out paper tickets with numbers on them
Mine said "43", and they were serving "9".
After much sitting and reconfiguring my hemorrhoids on the lovely chairs, the officials called out "10".
Then much later, the officials called out "11", whom could not by found (so local Cheka were dispatched to locate), and this flummoxed the offical, so then she called out several numbers and had those people STAND and wait for "next available and caring staff".
This puppet theatre then continued until finally my number was called, and I could then reluctantly leave my wonderful plastic chair and stand in the queue for more glorious union non-service.
It was only after some time in line (my rear parts had just started the beginnings of feelings again!) that I was allowed to be serviced by the peoples' apparachik of the State!
I wish you could have been there to feel the overenveloping atmosphere of true progressive socialism! I can't wait for Obamacare now that I know how it will be administered!

This is why we see people standing in line for hours and hours in the raging heat of summer, falling to heat strokes to get government handouts, assistance and freebies. They know actually backbreaking work is a moral 'No no" to their leaders. "Demand and you shall receive" is engraved on all union checks, is it not?

Normally the business of the Secretary fo the state of a state, is to deal with evil capitalist business people. This is why I ask. If your business had anything to do with evil capitalism, then you deserved what you got. This is how evil capitalists ought to be treated by bureaucrats, and you are lucky you got out of their alive.

I was resolving issue of getting license plate for our gulag's 1963 Wartburg.
I am preferring this fine conveyence over evil Capitalist USA made cars as it is constructed like gulag tractor and can handle the bus-eating divots they call potholes here in the Oblast of Michiganistan!
Of course, now that we are the USSA, I might have to consider usage of a State-owned Government Motors conveyence. Paid for of course with Obama money, like Peggy the Moocher stated!
But you are correct that I got the service I deserved, since others around me have not as fine a gulag transport as my gulag.
