For the Global Warming Stack

I really just can't think of anything clever to say. I will, eventually, once my anger subsides.

I really want to start the "Drive95.org" website.

I see a Rodgers & Hammerstein musical here. Deborah Kerr whistled a happy tune; Julie Andrews sang about her favorite things.

Jenny Deupree? "I simply remember the poor polar bears, and then I don't feel . . . SO BAAAAD!"

We don't have to wait for the Government, we can drive 55 right now.

Where does she get off thinking we don't have to wait for the Government to tell us what to do?

User avatar
That selfish bit*h! Driving a car while the polar bears drown from starvation!

User avatar
Vodkov, you are completely missing the point. She has the bumper stickers, and she's thinking about the polar bears. That means she cares--and that, sir, is the important thing!

It takes great courage to do what she's doing, and absolutely none to stand around criticizing her like you're doing. Do you have any better ideas on how to save the polar bears, Vodkov?

Anything?

Anything at all?

User avatar
I try to be a good Kommissar but all I get is criticism!

I'm going to cry now!

User avatar
Ms. Deupree is an inspiration. Perhaps we should show gratitude by arranging for her to meet some of these cute, cuddly polar bears in person. That would make me feel really good.

Nice sticker! It'll look lovely on a bumper next to these ones:

Sometimes it seems the entire Leftist movement in America is being financed by the oil-producing foreign nations. The more they protest (doesn't matter against what) the more the restrictions on industries, the higher the oil prices, the bigger the fabulous windfall profits for the sheiks who don't even have to move a finger to double and triple their oil revenues. The American businesses who research, drill, transport, and process oil are getting all all the heat. The sheiks are laughing their asses off all the way to the bank. Perhaps we should send Maxine Waters to the Middle East to threaten them with "socialization." Maybe she can put fear of Allah into them.

Yes, what a glorious day for the collective it will be when we send our brightest mind Mrs. Waters to the middle east to spread the joy that is socialism. How will she run the oil production? As efficiently as the post office, or as profitable as Amtrak. Or is that the other way around? Does it matter? When we are all paying the government $12 dollars a gallon, think of all the children that money can help!

O BTW Rikalonius as we say in The Peoples Repbulik of Massachusetts, 95 is the highway number, not the speed limit.

User avatar
ImageThere is hope for lower fuel prices if the price of oil remains high, however, we will still have to shoot.... silence the eco nazi-s because they simply do not wish for any carbon based (realistic) fuel source.

The last unit I worked on at the Exxon Research and Development Lab was a Fischer-Tropsch unit, which is actually a technology first developed by the Nazi's pre-WWII. It is expensive, but it is a process that I personally think should be pushed hard in the US. It is an extremely clean fuel. It took natural gas (though could also be bio mass etc -needs carbon monoxide and hydrogen, gas, turns it into a pure white wax whose only byproduct is water (we could turn a dessert into wet lands), and this wax turned into extremely clean, low sulpher jet fuel.

As fir the drive 55 nazi's, they are behind the ball.... we have already had a democratic useful idiot calling for a return to the glorious days of 55. Lenin help me, I am going to buy a gun and the fastest, oil burning, muscle car I can find.

Comrade, I'm in a strange position at the moment. I live in Virginia, home of the Timothy Michael (all your transportation are now belong to us) Kaine mutiny (PBUH). However, my wife, lives in New Hampshire while I finish out my last 5 months in the Amerikkkan Imperialist Navy. I frequently drive through the Glorius People's Republik of Massachusetts. Did I say drive, I, errr, take Amtrak. Anyway, it has always been my experience, that, while looking out of the open door of the freight car, that the speed limit being observed by the earth destroying capitalists, *IS* 95 or better.

Dear Lenin in Moscow!!

Comrade Rikalonius, I had no idea you were being forced against your will in service to the imperialist, colonial US Navy. I can see now that your love of the Party is deeply felt given your knowledge of the tyranny being forced on the other peaceful people of this world by this force.

Comrades,

During the recent interrogation of some Big Oil executives in a House committee hearing, Rep.Maxine Waters (D-CA), said that the Government would have to "socialize" oil companies to gain control. Thank, Lenin!!

Comrade, you should have said you have been conscripted in the Amerikkkan Navy! Do not give up hope! Your copy of Battleship Potemkin is in the mail! It is a feel good story about the roots of our glorious struggle. It is kind of like the Titantic but without all those evil rich capitalists and the boat doesn't sink. Just watch out for the baby carriage on the Odessa steps.

And o yea, as you drive through the Glorious People's Republickk to the evil, Income Tax Free, Live Free or Die State, don't take the Big Dig Tunnels. Central planning really screwed that one up.

I bet those people wouldn't even know the difference in gas mileage between a Chevy Tahoe and a Bugatti Veyron.

User avatar
ImageThe funny thing about Maxine Waters, and it's sad but true... even if the oil companies were socialized, it wouldn't change the price of oil, Now what she means is the govt taking over, not knowing the first thing about the subject, but using tax payer money to subsidize the cost.

Seriously, while we all complain about the cost, we mostly have no one but ourselves to blame. People look at that profit, but forget what happens when there is a big spill or refinery explosion for instance. The costs are huge, and you can bet the Congress won't be providing funds to cover these costs. To me it is simple....when you have billions of dollars invested, then you expect your yearly profits to be in the billions. I know you have all seen the comparisons on how much profit is made on a gallon of milk, or water, or coke etc compared to oil, yet you don't hear any outrage there.

Commissar Pupovich wrote:I know you have all seen the comparisons on how much profit is made on a gallon of milk, or water, or coke etc compared to oil, yet you don't hear any outrage there.

That's because Bush didn't go to war for milk. Big Dairy didn't contribute zillions to his campaign. And since the milk supply seems to meet the current demand, no one is worried that Congress will open up ANWR for milking the caribou.

User avatar
Ah Pinkie, you forget, oil is meeting the current demand as well, which is why the price is high. There are no shortages. Proles simply do not understand basic facts. The capitalist drill for oil over here as well, though they do not have the supply available in the middle east. Theoretically I suppose they could sell oil drilled in the US for say $50 a barrel. But if you have a barrel of oil, and you have a choice between selling it for $50 here, or $125 elsewhere, who do you think is going to get it? Right now, the price of oil is largely the result of speculation. Plus, there is an oil problem in Nigeria right now due to revolutionary activity, and Nigeria is a large source of what is called "sweet crude" which means it has less impurities to clean out and more of the desired "light ends" can be extracted.

Your rickshaw Comrade? You mean the People's Rickshaw. It best be returned in prime condition and you best not leave any "carbon credit" smears on the upholstery as you did the last time.

CUBEFLASH!

Damn and blast, comrades! Why didn't we think of this before? Like the very minute we knew it was a crisis?

World Celebrities Sing to Stop Global Warming!

https://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5iyAzv7fCgFLJDVt-S1PGzJwKMM6g

British rock group Duran Duran and heavy metal band Scorpions are among 55 world celebrities who have joined in recording a song to draw attention to the global warming crisis, organisers said on Monday.

. . .

The media campaign featuring the song is aimed at putting pressure on world leaders to reach an agreement on tackling climate change at a UN-sponsored conference in Copenhagen in December.

This will do it! This will fix the problem and save the planet! It has to! After this, I just don't know what's left!

User avatar
"The song entitled "Beds'r Burning", which was originally recorded by the Australian group Midnight Oil in the 1980s, can be downloaded from the Internet for free and will be presented to the public at a launch in Paris on October 1."

Somehow, I suspect that this song was not originally aimed at global warming.....

"If we do not stop the (greenhouse gas) emissions today, global warming will be still be with us in 40 to 50 years," warned Walter Fust, director of the Forum, at a press conference in Geneva."

Should that not read "the need for one world government will still be with us...." ?

OK, Comrades, forget my last post.

THIS IS IT! THIS IS THE ANSWER! THIS WILL SOLVE EVERYTHING ONCE AND FOR ALL!

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33354627/?GT1=43001

GIRIFUSHI, Maldives - Members of the Maldives' Cabinet donned scuba gear and used hand signals Saturday at an underwater meeting staged to highlight the threat of global warming to the lowest-lying nation on earth.

Yes, comrades, throw away those awareness ribbons and useless wristbands. Forget about singing a song (unless it's "Under the Sea"). A little tee-tiny group of islands in the South Seas has finally come up with the ultimate attention-getter--THIS will finally wake up the whole world and really get all of us thinking about how we need to concentrate more on coming up with new ideas for raising even more awareness and drawing further attention to the dire consequences of this oncoming catastrophe of Global Warming, if we don't start talking about doing something right freaking now!

With a backdrop of coral, the meeting was a bid to draw attention to fears that rising sea levels caused by the melting of polar ice caps could swamp this Indian Ocean archipelago within a century.

Within a CENTURY, comrades! That's only a hundred years away! What will our great-great grandchildren say when they see the Maldives sink below the ocean? Why, they're going to want to know why the hell we--their great-great grandparents--didn't do anything to stop it when we, and only we, had the chance! And then they'll say bad things about us! Is that what we want people doing long after we're dead? Is it? Huh? NO!!!

As bubbles floated up from their face masks, the president, vice president, Cabinet secretary and 11 ministers signed a document calling on all countries to cut their carbon dioxide emissions.

Forget all 724 previous documents, resolutions and petitions calling on all countries to cut their carbon dioxide emissions. THIS one will get the lead out of everyone's pants! I just know it will--because they signed it underwater!

The issue has taken on urgency ahead of a major U.N. climate change conference scheduled for December in Copenhagen.

Urgency! Now! NOW! December will be too late! We haven't a moment to lose! The islands are sinking . . . sinking . . . glug! Ram that document through! Urgent! Urgent!

And just how urgent is it? Whyyyy . . .

Nasheed, who has emerged as a key, and colorful, voice on climate change, is a certified diver, but the others had to take diving lessons in recent weeks.

At government expense, of course--and at a very ritzy resort, I'm sure.

But the important thing is, they went to all this trouble to show the rest of us how much more they care than we do!

What have YOU done today to show how much you care?

User avatar
They like to be, under the sea
to highlight their global warming conclave.

They'll rant and storm, that it's getting warm
with an exaggerated gesture and a wave.

They all sang and danced ah-round!
and I would laugh if they all drowned.

But they like to be, under the sea
in a dramatic self indulgent ta-ableau-eau-eau
in a dramatic self indulgent ta-ableau.

Singing to Prevent Global Warming(TM)!!

I trust that most if not all of the equipment needed to run the show will be 100% Energy Efficient(TM) and Green!!

Hmm... what to do with all the hot air carbon dioxide the singers will expelling? Perhaps they could forcibly $ell their Carbon Credits(TM) to the taxpayer$.

Talk about Greenback$.

I pet a baby seal. Planted a Red Maple tree. Corked a herd of Black Angus cattle. And haven't showered in 3 months. Why?

Because I care.
