Who is GOMS? Does he wear a tinfoil hat? Is he a faithful follower of Rev. Al Gore's Global Warming Circus and Wild Ass Guess Show? Does he keep a picture of Mother Sheehan on his nightstand? Does he beleive the the Bush Administration was behind 9/11? Does he think that George W. Bush personally stopped emergency reilef from reaching New Orleans because George hates black people? Does he beleive that Big Oil manipulates the price of Oil? Does he want to see higher taxes but still takes all available deductions on his tax return? Does he beleive that Islamic terrorists can be reasoned with? Is he just another leftist who would rather whine about the problems we face rather than do something about them?

I bet he was a Marine wannabe who couldn't hack Boot Camp.

Thank you Commissarka Pinkie. Wow! I couldn't listen to it after the first 60 seconds of drivel. If you wanted to torture a conservative his videos would be the perfect device, or should I say "tool". He'd be the poster child for the word loser if anything ever happens to Michael Moore. Hmm, just noticed that Michael Moore rhymes with Al Gore, coincidence?

(character way off)

The thing I love most about these videos is that nothing is ever original. They take the same talking points theyve been progammed to parrot over and over again, and then make videos as if they have any idea what it is like to risk your life for moronic moonbats like this

Ain't that f#%ked up?

Well, those nutty Jarheads are fair game now, aren't they, ever since Murtha called them, what was it, babykillers or something. Now that the moonbats can get away with vandalizing Marine Recruiting Offices, all bets are off. Soon you will see them organizing "Spit On A Marine" rallies on Craigslist. They already started protesting the Blue Angels in S.F.

But can you blame them? All they know about the Marines is what Murtha told them and what they saw on American Beauty.

<<off Character>> I finally got to watch more than one video, hey I have to work occasionally. When I began to watch the "tour" video, I thought this guy was living in mommy's basement, then attic. At the end he gives credit to his wife, hard to beleive she didn't take her own life living with this slug.

Funny that he doesn't recognize our neverending commitment in the former Yugoslavia, the fact that during every deployment under Klinton the troops had the same body armor and unarmored hummers. Whatever you do don't bring up Somolia or Haiti.

I don't know what I would do if I saw someone hassle a member of the military let alone spit on one but it would not be pleasent. The world will be a better place when these 60's hippies are gone.

I am not a violent Pup, by no means. But God, I would love to have 5 minutes alone with that piece of excrement. How I would love to exercise some free speech on his face. I will be frank, it is getting harder and harder for me to say "I Love America" knowing that such a significant number of "people" here hold to such ideas and beliefs as that worm. I have nothing in common with him other than unfortunately for us, he still consumes oxygen. He may as well be a piece of embryonic flotsam from a different world, I have nothing in common with GOMS or his friends. Frankly, I am all in favor of secession. Basically a blue and red state split. Hey, we can still trade with each other, even allow cross border excursions without a passport, but I would think it a good thing for "us" and "them" to live in a country that is more or less in tune with our fellow citizens. I know this is extreme, but I just don't see us coming together on these issues, nor do I think it a good thing for us to come together on many issues. OK, I have vented for now, getting down off my doghouse roof.

Friend Laika,

Did you have to point this out to me?... Did you?... When you know I'm not feeling well?....

I never imagined that I'd be embarrassed by TWO completely different individuals named Pierre Elliot Trudeau (one of whom - the original PET's offspring - only recently 'graced' my country and the world with the continuation of the Trudeau genetic line) in my lifetime... and I find that I weep for the future...

I have always been taken with the children's' taunt, "I know you are, but what am I?"... Nobody seems to realize that it is a perfect expression of the Jungian concept of The Shadow - the idea that one expresses hatred toward or despises in others that which one really does not or cannot bear in themselves, or which one fears in themselves - those qualities which when projected onto an other person and so of of one's self, may then safely be attacked (I'm sorry for any inaccuracy or fault in that definition that might spring from an attempt at brevity). An example might be to call someone stupid and uneducated when one fears that they themselves lack education or intelligence... Or better yet (if I'm remembering correctly... you'll have to excuse me but the fertilizer was so thick on the ground, and I so busy trying just to keep my head above it that I feel somewhat overwhelmed by the sheer volume... yet cannot bring myself to watch all nine plus minutes of the bullshit again... so please excuse any inaccuracy) the accusation of elitism, and attack on the quality of education in public schools in the U.S. vs. Canada... There was no recognition of the degree to which the Canadian post-secondary education system, despite what this whining git might believe, is subsidized by tax-payers... something that the students who are constantly protesting tuition rates don't seem to understand. The lack of recognition of the degree to which ALL universities in Canada are as elitist as any private university in the U.S. and how out of touch this person is with the lack of quality of public education in Canada, despite what skewed and invalid standardized testing might indicate. I know, having tutored the kids who fall through the cracks and having walked away from conversations, not only with current public school students, but 'kids' his age who lack any basic knowledge of the underlying history and roots of their own culture to such a huge degree that most of what goes on around them simply zips by their heads unnoticed because they have no frame of reference from which to hang it... or worse, if it is noticed, is wilfully ignored because they can't be bothered to pry themselves away from facebook or lashing out on YouTube about things they know nothing about because their wonderful Canadian education was so comprehensive (or so Pierre Elliot Trudeau the original told them at the same time he was feeding them that pap about how great his new constitution was)...

Worse yet are the statements regarding democracy vs. plutocracy and the complete lack of understanding that both our countries run on money - how he can think it would be different for any state is beyond me, though he does mention something about brain size, so it might be that. All countries 'run' on money. More importantly, while we may not have the degree of expense related to campaigning here that exists in the U.S, I defy him to find a Prime Minister, Provincial Premier, or even Mayor of a large city who didn't have as substantial a 'war chest' as possible to the point that our last Lib-shit government had to illegally divert public funds to the Federal Liberal party to pay for its campaign (he conveniently left that little tidbit out)... he has, apparently, not watched a newscast lately, gone to the store, and being... what... 26?... not faced a major illness that would require he navigate his country's own publicly funded healthcare system. What I don't get is, if the public doesn't pay for healthcare, who does?... Either the government collects taxes and uses those taxes, in part, to fund healthcare, or the individual pays for insurance or for the services themselves...

Either way, 'the public' pays for healthcare. The government may be able, through the mint, to print money, but that does not create more money (and so doesn't not create more 'value' or resources)... moreover, as soon as the government becomes involved in 'managing' our money for us, it seems to magically become worth less... to purchase less for us... to garner less value for the public to whom that money belongs... and I say it belongs to us... to the public, because just as in the U.S., the people are the government... how could it be otherwise, since we walked into a designated place, gave our names, collected a piece of paper with circles or some other 'check-box' type thingy (that's The Queen's English, BTW) beside the various candidates names, and then checked one of those names off... as do you in the U.S., I believe... and if one person collects more checks or marks or hanging chads beside their name, that means that the 'public' has chosen for that individual to represent them, so that the 'voter' doesn't have to spend their entire life making decisions about absolutely everything. I think the problem for PET-II arises when the individual with the most checks or marks or whatever beside their name is not the same individual that this f**wit... Oh... I'm sorry... that PET-II might have chosen himself (we sometimes call this a tantrum)... OR when PET-II disagrees with something you might say or think... OR MORE IMPORTANTLY, when PET-II disagrees with something that he believes or imagines for some reason that you might say or think.

Now, I say "more importantly" because he seemed in his diatribe to feel the need to insult you a great deal (and for that, dear Laika, I am sorry, because I truly believe that most Canadians are more polite and certainly, I hope, less rude than that)... I would even categorize the degree to which he was bandying insults about as rude to the point of offensive, and again, I apologize. I apologize not only because it presented absolutely no room for meaningful discussion or debate... it was just childish name calling... but also because, again, the quality of the insults said much more about PET-II than it did about you. It was of the level of "I know you are, but what am I?" and so belied much about his own insecurities about the quality of his intelligence and mental state.

Normally, as you know from our own lengthy discussions of history and law... of the differences in the constitutions of our respective countries and how those differences arose... of ethics and the application of ethics in societies in general and in the cultures of our respective countries... from our discussions related to just about everything from the individuals and individual rights under the law, to hockey, to the rights of animals (and though I won't be more specific than to say you are no member of PETA and I'd happily go out for a steak dinner with you, many might be surprised at what you have to express in this regard... and if I've been too free, even vaguely, with a belief you would have preferred held more privately, again, I'm sorry)... Normally I take the position that when it comes to an individual, it is one of the highest forms of insult to attempt to 'psychoanalyse' or analyze them... certainly not without their permission, but more importantly not, by way of some random conversation, to attempt to 'autopsy' who they are, how they think, and what they believe and then apply that 'understanding' to them when treating with them. Invariably, the person doing the analyzing will get it wrong, and it is often the case that when someone tries to apply this shorthand method of analysis to another person, the person doing the analyzing is the person who does all the talking - in other words, they will sit down and have an half hour conversation with someone else during which they do most of the speaking - usually about themselves - and then walk away secure in the belief that they 'know' this other person... their motivations, dreams, M.O., sense of self, etc... I believe it is almost the highest form of insult because it cannot but say more about the 'analyser' than the 'analyse', and so I try very hard to consciously and conscientiously not make judgements of people I have no right to make, based on criteria such as those used when analyzing people... psycho or otherwise... without their permission or participation.

... And so, with the understanding that I am doing the same to him, though at least consciously and to as little a degree as possible, and in the most general terms, I say that for Pierre to have, in the course of less than ten minutes, and from what he has read of your writing (which, again, is a very poor medium for analysis in this situation), psychoanalysed you and then applied that to you in his diatribe in a way that not only passes further judgement, but judgement that is both inexorable and execrable in it's usefulness, is repulsive to me.... Inexorable in that he has made up his mind in the absence of any debate and based on the most facile terms, and execrable because he has once again required me to don my hip-waders (which are fast becoming even too short to stem the tide of utter bullshit issuing forth from his cakehole)... I can only suggest as a Canuck and as your friend, to respond, "I know you are, but what am I?" as it is the most intelligent and meaningful response possible, given all the particulars.

With the deepest regard,
Sister Massively Opiated

DOM. you said what I tried to convey as well...so many seem to think that if the govt pays for it, somehow it is "free" money, seemingly oblivious as to where said money, or value as you so eloquently said, comes from. You said a mouthful about analyzing people as well. I have more psychology background than your average bear... as Yogi would say, a degree and 2 years master's level, and you won't see me trying to analyze people. I was telling some lady at the coffee shop the other day that a degree in psychology is just enough to make you dangerous. I did have to hand that clown one thing though, he did show a good understanding of what the US Constitution is supposed to be about. Sadly, the notion of state rights has been all but abandoned here unless it can be used to justify some liberal cause such as medical marijuana or sanctuary cities. But as we have seen, let a state try and decide speed limits, helmet or seat belt usage, dui limits or drinking age, or gun laws (the amazing linking of possession of a gun within a distance of a school under the guise of the federal govt. interstate commerce responsibility), and low and behold, the federal govt will crack the whip.

"This is not the United States, this is 100 percent Canada, shot from the Canadian side," Gromosiak said after reviewing the video at the request of The Associated Press. "This is an insult."

Although brief, the appearance of the Horseshoe Falls in a U.S. tourism promotion effort is likely to also vex Canadians, who long have fought to distinguish themselves from their larger and more powerful neighbor to the South.

The political boundary is not marked with a line through the Niagara River that divides the two countries and connects Lake Erie to Lake Ontario. The distinction, however, is clear to most who have visited the Falls looking for a picture postcard photo to take home.

But it seems to have escaped the notice of the producers and those at the State Department and Homeland Security Department's Customs and Border Protection agency who presumably vetted the video before endorsing it and posting it to their Web sites.

In a separate "making of" video, Jay Rasulo, the chairman of Disney Parks and Resorts, speaks over the falls footage about the importance of showing would-be tourists "the great sites, the great vistas that they dream about all their lives when they dream about America."

State Department spokesman Sean McCormack could not speak to the scenery in the short film. But he stressed that Niagara Falls "is a shared natural wonder, a gateway for both our countries and anyone looking at the video will understand how proud America is to share it with Canada."

Karen Hughes, the undersecretary of state for public diplomacy, said in a posting to the department's blog Thursday that the production has the administration's blessing.

"This video clearly says: 'We want you to come to America, you will be most welcome,"' she said.

Hughes said she commissioned the work, which Disney shot and produced at no charge and donated, to overcome the pervasive post-Sept. 11 perception abroad that America is hostile to foreigners. She said the video is to be given maximum exposure.

"We have already sent the video and associated posters to embassies and consular offices across the world, where it will greet aspiring visitors long before they arrive on our shores," Hughes said.

"We're going to play it in waiting rooms and at embassy events — and we hope it will inspire many who otherwise might not have thought about travelling to America to come and see it for themselves." she wrote.

That article is the craziest piece of writing I've seen since the one about the belly dancers making costumes out of garbage.

What does that reporter think the color of the car has to do with anything? (Aside from the fact that red cars supposedly get pulled over more often, but that's still way out of context here.)

According to the article, Miss Titti "borrowed" the car from Daddy. Yet no mention is made of her calling Daddy to let him know what happened, or even ask him if he might have some outstanding parking tickets, etc. (Maybe from the time when he drove down to the U.S. to get dialysis because there's a 10 year wait in Canada?)

The other group of activists was stealing food for homeless people? WTF? Were they referring to themselves?

Miss Titti was inside the church when the--if you'll pardon the hate speech, but I don't know of a PC synonym for this--"Good Samaritan" couple offered her shelter in their home. That would be something hateful known as Christian charity.

As to why her fellow progressives wouldn't offer a cardboard box or hippie tent--well, my dear Mikhail, here one must have the wisdom of Mulva: They would rather wring their hands and lament the lack of a Government program (those summabitchin' Republicans again) to lavish her with food and shelter!

Otherwise, you shouldn't criticize their choice of vehicle. The important thing is that they cared enough about the war and the environment to come all the way down here to make a difference!

When you care enough, then you can drive a Dodge SX2.0, too. Or even fly in your own personal jet.

The Always On Point Commissarka wrote:What does that reporter think the color of the car has to do with anything?...

Because it adds 'flavor' to their writing...they need more flavor for it is lacking in substance, you see.

The Commissarka of The People wrote:Miss Titti was inside the church when the...."Good Samaritan" couple offered her shelter in their home. That would be something hateful known as Christian charity.

Perhaps - or they just wanted to get some fresh meat in their "swap sandwich"...

On The Wisdom of Mulva, Commissarka Pinkie wrote:...They would rather wring their hands and lament the lack of a Government program (those summabitchin' Republicans again) to lavish her with food and shelter!

I thought as much, but they do like to roll around in the mud together and share their weed and such, so I didn't think sharing a straw pile - or box - or whatever - was too much of a stretch.

In Conclusion, Commissarka Pinkie wrote:When you care enough, then you can drive a Dodge SX2.0, too. Or even fly in your own personal jet.

Aaahhhh, I care enough to drive a '69 Firebird (which actually gets better mileage than the aforementioned Neon clone), and that suits me just fine. Actually, it sometimes feels like a personal jet, too.

// Kompletely Out of Karakter//

Astute Comrade Mikhail T. Kalashnikov,

There are ostensibly four local newspapers in Toronto (excepting NOW magazine, which is free, and, I suppose one might call our version of... well... I'm not sure... Socialist Worker, though with a more community/arts based focus... NOW has lots of left politics but they also have a lot of what's going on in the community in terms of social things... but it's all left-leaning to the point that one may be excused for assuming that everyone who works there has an inner ear problem)... So... four local papers... The Toronto Sun - our populist taboid rag with the girl in the bathing suit on page two or three (but bizarrely, their Sunday edition, which is huge, has a fairly pro-Israel editorial stance with a few exceptions)... The Globe and Mail - left leaning anti-Israel bias with artry-fartsy intellectual pretensions... The Toronto Star - left to middle leaning with an anti-Israel bias and pretensions of havng pretensions... And The National Post (which is the paper I most often quote), which is considered our right wing pro-Israel (it's owned by Issy Asper - a Jew... and since we control the media, it's actually the paper of the Illuminati, as David Icke would put it... The newspaper of the alien space lizards who actually rule earth... I'm not even gonna find the Wiki link... people can look it up for themselves)... newspaper... It was founded by Conrad Black (who you might have read about in your news lately - regarding Hollinger publishing... but who is not Jewish... though I'm sure David Icke thinks he's still a lizard and part of the Zionist Occupational Government) and was originally The Financial Post (ostensibly, Canada's only National paper, it does tend to focus on Toronto more, but is part of a network of local papers run under https://www.canada.com - and Global Television Network)... But it does have the clearest and best and least biased financial reporting, as well as being the only paper I'll buy (it's what I have delivered each morning)... I used to get the Post, the Star AND the Globe on the premise that one should know what one's enemies are up to, and I'd actually read most of each every day, but I just found myself getting too angry and finally, as with France, decided I wasn't about to give my money to the Globe or to the Star any more... and I used to get the Sunday Sun, but despite their decent editorial section, there wasn't enough of it, and just too many used car and other classifieds to bother getting it any more.... so now I just get the Post...

The Toronto Star is a rag, though it fits better in the kitty litter box than the Post does... still... that hasn't proven a good enough reason to subscribe to it again... They do market hard though, and often send swarms of children through the apartment building trying to sign up subscribers... if they are enticing people with free trial subscriptions, I'll take one, but again, only cause it fits in the kitty litter box better than the Post... I really can't read it... I get too angry...

For the Kitty Litter....

And furthermore, what kind of idiot morons tootle off and leave their passports in their car "for safety"? Doesn't that sort of defeat the purpose of having a passport?

Call me paranoid, overly cautious; maybe it's because I used to be in the military and had to show my ID everywhere I went on base; or maybe I need an operation to remove a big stick I got stuck somewhere--but I won't even walk the dog around the block without carrying some form of ID.

There goes another shot of perfectly good vodka across my computer screen.

What does he mean, he's never going to vote again? Seems to me he never really voted to begin with!

Perot? Nader? And he was holding out for Kucinich? I didn't think there could be a bigger loser than any of these guys till Mulva came along.

Some people make it too easy. He must be the only person I know who tapes a giant "Kick Me" sign to his own back.

This is like yet another Seinfeld episode. Just when I'm ready to crown Bobby Calvan "Lord of the Idiots" we have a new contender for the title.

Mulva's got a gun
Mulva's got a gun
The whole world's come undone

<off character>

I can almost....not quite....almost...understand the need for gun control now.
Nahhhh.....He probably doesn't know the business end of a rifle.
Somebody send him a bouquet of daisies so he can stick it in the barrel when he comes to his liberal senses.
I bet he woke up with a big hangover the day after he posted that blog.
"Oh, shit! What did I say? Get a rifle???? I gotta stop drinking these Party Approved Margaritas™."

This is my rifle
This is my gun
One is a weapon
The other's for fun.....

What's next? A job?

Mulva's rifle is a hand-me-down just like the Grandpa's underwear <shudders>.

I hope this demoralization is being spread LIBERALLY among the progressive drones (I know it is at Kos).

Nothing would bring a smile to my face more than us taking back Congress and keeping the White House. Well, actually, that would bring a smile to my face and also if the Dem convention looks like Chicago 1968 (a dream shared by many).

Here is a dated TIME article of the events of the awful and tragic day for the Democrat party <snickers> ...

TIME wrote:With nightsticks, tear gas and Mace, the blue-shirted, blue-helmeted cops violated the civil rights of countless innocent citizens and contravened every accepted code of professional police discipline ... No one could accuse the Chicago cops of discrimination. They savagely attacked hippies, yippies, New Leftists, revolutionaries, dissident Democrats, newsmen, photographers, passers-by, clergymen and at least one cripple. Winston Churchill's journalist grandson got roughed up. Playboy's Hugh Hefner took a whack on the backside. The police even victimized a member of the British Parliament, Mrs. Anne Kerr, a vacationing Labourite who was Maced outside the Conrad Hilton and hustled off to the lockup."
Full article link (which is rather good, I might add)

Nothing is more innocent than the revolutionaries, hippies, yippies and New Leftist, right? I do feel bad for Hugh though and the cripple (although this is progressive reporting and we know how they like to bleed hearts and insert make-believe victims at random). Oh yes, poor Anne Kerr... she was maced and arrested for vacationing (give me a break).

Oh, what a wonderful description! I'll have to use that sometime. Maybe Tazer boy would have gotten more respect had the MSM had described it like this.

Ok, for any who do not already know, I am an Officer in the US Army (3 guesses what I am associated with). I would LOVE to take these useless idiot leftist "movie makers" to Baghdad with me the next time I go. I would personally escort their sorry asses up Haditha Street and out Assassin's Gate. They get three choices then.

1. Go left (west) towards the Al Monsoor area. Here former Saddam goons and Taliban allies of Saddam will slice off their heads, tie them to a pole, and burn the bodies. (oooppps... did I let that cat out of the bag?? Leftist Trolls, just keep repeating "There was no connection between Saddam and Afghanistan")

2. Go right (east) and head into Sadr City (Shia area). Here the Shias, under control of their Iranian masters, will skin the leftists alive, cook them, and send them back to their families (no, I am not embellishing... this happens).

3. Turn around and bang on the gates pleading for us "evil baby killers" (though I never performed an abortion in my life) to rescue their pathetic hides.

Now, I left as the summer came this year (Thank GOD! I hate the heat) and now that the Surge and new ROE is out, well, Baghdad is a LOT better, so maybe I will just let them go in Detroit, which is more dangerous.

Oh, and to the moron GOMS: I had perfectly good armor (better than I ever had in Bosnia), excellent training, great medical care, the full ability to think rationally (which is why I joined the Army 14 years ago and fully support the GWOT now) and full support to recover from a near miss by a rocket. Hell fool, I'm stronger now than when I came back. You want courage, come and spew your shit at the real "oppressors" and "imperialists" in this war, the islamofascists.

But therein lies the truth. The left is all "courageous" when facing people they know will not kill them, but meek and submissive 'dhimmis' when faced with death. It does not take courage to put a flower into a US military rifle as the US Soldier will not shoot you for it. It takes real courage to stand up for Democracy in a Chinese city with a Peoples "Liberation" Army tank running you down and the rifles of that army gunning you down when the cameras leave. No courage is required to attack an empty USMC recruiting station in Berkeley. It takes real courage to stand up to the 'glorious' Soviet war machine as it crushes your demonstration in an East European city.

OK, I'm done..... sorry. BP goes up when I see these idiots on parade.

I'm going to go give my 2 yr old and 4 mo old sons a hug and kiss my wife goodnight.

I heard about that involving some troops from I think Germany. They were skinned alive and beheaded on video, and then their heads and copies of the videotapes were mailed back to their families. At that point, Germany pulled out. (I think it was Germany, still not sure)

Comrade TankoGrad wrote: now that the Surge and new ROE is out, well, Baghdad is a LOT better

*gasp* They finally got rid of the ROE?!? You mean that you guys can actually fight now instead of being police officers/meat shields?

YAY!!!!

<throws confetti in air and blows on cheap party horn>

Yes Betty, the ROE changed as did the nature of the mission. All civilian protections remain (we do not kill civilians... I know, news to leftists). However much of the time in Iraq has been gathering intel on who is what and where. Even a massive Army is useless if one does not know where to strike.

Now we have that knowledge and the power to do act.

As for the cooking. It has been done in more than a few instances. Muslim attacks on Christians (the ROP members cooked the kids of the families) and in Muslim on Muslim violence.

But we must not judge them.........

Freaks... I mean, um... happy, tolerant, peaceful, loving people... yes, they are people....
