Nooooo! Comrade, you must never put a cast iron skillet in a dishwasher!

The only way to clean a cast iron skillet is with a dry washcloth and salt (preferably rough salt harvested by thought criminals at a Siberian salt-mining gulag), otherwise a well-seasoned skillet is ruined and rust appears.
