I Dream of Jena (Mr. Snugglebunny)

I figured it had to be a take on a movie title, so I checked in IMDb - I Dream of Jenna (2002) (V) - Plot Keywords: Sex / Hardcore. Hmmm... A name like Snugglebunny should have given me a clue... Very progressive, comrade Snugglebunny! You are among open-minded progressive friends here! Any chance you could make us a copy for collective viewing?

But let's put that off for tomorrow. Today the topic is Jena and we must forget the earthly impulses and focus on how this country is not, has never been, and will never be free, fair, and just. And after that, of course, Jessee Jackson might even join us in the open-minded collective screening of Mr. Snugglebunny's video.

BTW, seeing as how the Pup lives in Louisiana, being a relatively small state, no where in Louisiana is too far away, and this news was out long ago, I am somewhat familiar with it. In fact, I had not heard ANY thing about this case for quite some time until I received an email from a yankee friend who once lived down in Nawlins, about this and the alleged horrible racial wrongs that had been done to this poor boy at the hands of a bunch of racial bigots here. Well, let me tell you, the story that I was sent was far from the truth, as is the stories I have since been hearing from the drive by media. From all I can recall, the incident as described in Wikipedia is correct.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jena_Six

The relevant parts that I wish to point out that despite the stories I have heard that the beating was a result of the "tree" incident, the facts are the initial fight from which the beating occurred came as a result of several people trying to enter a party to which they were not invited, a party I might add included a black person, and an incident where both the black kids that tried to enter the party, and a white kid that confronted them, were both asked to leave. That the boy was wrongly charged as an adult, I do not dispute, and that has been corrected.

Frankly, there are few who cause the Pup's blood to boil as hot as the "reverends" that never seem to preach the gospel about Christ, Jackson and Sharpton. On a personal level, from one who felt the effects of Hurricane Katrina, I will never, ever forget watching the scenes from New Orleans (watching at my sister's house who had a generator as my power was out for a couple of weeks). I watched all those victims being rescued from rooftops etc as did everyone. Then the "Rev" Jackson showed up and started his *%#)&%# about the racist nature of the hurricanes effect on NO. Friends, it was all I could do to not throw a brick through the tv, go buy a gun, and hunt him down. I had not even noticed the color of the victims, and I mean that with all seriousness... all I saw were a lot of people in serious trouble. No, it took that jackass to help me to see the "true racial discrimination" of Hurricane Katrina. For nearly a week, I and my dear friend Margaret (who happens to be white) both worried about her brother and sister in particular who no one had heard from since before the hurricane. Margaret and her family live in Kenner. It was all we could do to keep her sons from trying to get a boat to go searching for them as there was much confusion and they were saying that they did not want individuals to form their own search parties, only wanted boats to be donated for use. Oh, never mind, I have gone on too long, so I will get down from my doghouse now.

Very progressive. Especially the end. Makes me want to progress out of my mouth all over. Almost like a visual Ipecac

Oh Premier... that is wonderfully progressive and funny as well! No doubt this is being shown at a certain Ranch house down in Texas even as we plot.. I mean speak.
