Is the Obama Administration Behind An Astroturf Anti-Tea Party Website?

Astroturf is the act of professional interest groups designing campaigns that appear to be grassroots efforts, but are not. It is what the left has accused the tea parties of being. Only more and more it looks like the anti-tea party movement is truly astroturfing.
Writing on January 15, 2010, Glenn Greenwald at Salon noted Barack Obama's new head of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, Cass Sunstein, had championed creating fake websites and using outside 501(c)(3) interest groups to act as alleged independent champions of government policy and to “cognitively infiltrate” opposition websites, etc.

In other words, Cass Sunstein has favored the government using outside parties as government propaganda agents to paint their opposition as fringe and undermine their credibility. Kind of like what has been happening with the tea party movement – lots of SEIU members pretending to be tea party activists causing violence in front of TV cameras.

Sunstein advocates that the Government's stealth infiltration should be accomplished by sending covert agents into “chat rooms, online social networks, or even real-space groups.” He also proposes that the Government make secret payments to so-called “independent” credible voices to bolster the Government's messaging

Considering Sustein's recommendations, it is not far removed to speculate the Obama administration is behind a new anti-tea party website called The Other 95, which defends the government from tea party criticisms and attacks the tea party movement as fringe.

The website purports to be authentically grassroots, though one must wonder when the last time was any grassroots activist too the time to defend the government.

The designer is affilated with MoveOn.org and other leftwing sites and causes.
But most notable, the donations page makes donations out to Democracy in Action. Democracy in Action is not for individual activists to use. It is for small and medium sized 501(c)(3) organizations and others on the left. Among its clients? ACORN, True Majority, NAACP, and others.
Hmmmm. . . .

Let's also remember that Center for American Progress, led by Obama's transition team director John Podesta, has regular 8 a.m. phone calls to coordinate activity on the left.

It's a play right out of Lenin's handbook, forget Alinsky, to call the authentic “inauthentic” and then create something inauthentic demanding it be called “authentic.”

Our glorious leader would never do such a thing and if did such a thing it would be glorious.

I saw this blasphemy onFox News CNN and didn't believe it. Dear Leader is way too busy with his leaderness to waste waste time on such trivia.

".....championed creating fake websites and using outside 501(c)(3) interest groups to act as alleged independent champions of government policy and to “cognitively infiltrate” opposition websites, etc" - that is more fraudulent lies from the reichwinggers!! They have NO proof of any such activitiesbecause the truth has been well hidden. RACIST, I tell you!

Now that Reiuxcat let the proverbial cat out of the bag, I may as well let slip the kittens as well. Dear Leader's henchmen contacted the Cube some time ago hoping that we would join in their little scheme. However we are pure revolutionaries and do not sell our services cheap, at least not as cheap as they were willing to pay. It embarrasses me to say the paltry sum they offered. Comrades it was insulting. We told them we don't hench for chickenfeed (well, Red Rooster might, but not us).

We aren't worried. Their budget basement efforts will fail. Only then will they realize that quality work demands top dollar and they'll come crawling back. And when they do they'll discover the price has gone up. Now we want it all, all the power and nothing less.

Comrades, this will be our biggest coupe yet.

So most dedicated sight to glorious Dear Leader infiltrated by Terrible Teabaggers. How dare they to put lies that most popular grassroots organization EVER has as donator to Democracy in Action. All can to see how sneaky Teabaggers are and this will lead to their falldown.

Comrade Whoopie, your comment of most intrigue. If true, is true, If not true, is true all so. I am needing Jiffy-Lobo after such reading.

I assume you meant "coup", unless of course we are going to get a brand new People's Automobile for doing our top-dollar work.

Obviously, this would be a totally non-capitalist operation. You see, we just need the funds to promote, uh, Activism™ and raise Awareness™ .

Yes, that's it.

Sweet fancy gulags, that is so intriguing, indeedy. I would be jumping up and down in Oboma excitement, if I weren't afraid of squashing beets. Did the Cube receive one of Rahm's horse heads? Or a rooster's head, which might be more intimidating to previously aforementioned Red one? (ho ho I jest of course Mr. FEMA troll).
I am sure the Obamo regime administration will send more redistributed funds as soon as it's ripped from the hands of some recently deceased citizen. (ho ho I still just Mr. FEMA troll!)

Good catch Olga K. Warning to all word criminals, the Spell Cheka never sleeps.

Apparently Rightwing reactionary saboteurs have rendered our glorious text editor unable to tell the difference between a 2 door car and a sudden upset of the established order. I wouldn't be surprised if it can't tell the difference between an organized group of people and a dead body either.

Well, that's not a necessary distinction to make during voter registration drives, or so I hear.

And I was hoping Red Star and I were getting new equipment. Image
While it's true, I can easily curl up on a lap or maybe the top of the dash. Everyone would agree more weapons for shooting controlling the teabgger hoards would be most useful.
