Glorious news, Comrades in Social Justice™!

Samuel Clemens - an old, dead, white, racist scribbler of trash novels - has finally been outed! Clemens, more commonly known by his fictional code name, Mark Twain, used the word "*igger" in a passage where he describes the Washoe Tribe as eaters of "grasshopper soup"! Adding to his racist rant, Clemens insults another local tribe by spelling their name with a mocking hyphen - "Pi-utes".

Warning: Culturally sensitive comrades should avoid reading the following story reported in UPI earlier today.

Claims of racism kill bid to name part of Lake Tahoe after Mark Twain

A cove in Lake Tahoe will not be named for American writer Mark Twain, after the Washoe Tribe complained the caucasian author was prejudiced against Native Americans.

"Samuel Clemens had racist views on the native people of this country and has captured those views in his literature," wrote Darrel Cruz, head of the Washoe Tribe cultural resource department, in a letter to the Nevada State Board on Geographic Affairs. "Therefore, we cannot support the notion of giving a place name in Lake Tahoe to Samuel Clemens."

Twain, whose real name was Samuel Clemens, objected to naming the lake "Tahoe," which comes from the Washoe word for lake.

"People say that Tahoe means 'Silver Lake' -- 'Limpid Water' -- 'Falling Leaf,'' Twain is credited as saying. "Bosh! It means grasshopper soup, the favorite dish of the digger tribe -- and of the Pi-utes as well." The word "digger" is considered a racial slur by Native Americans.

Board member Robert Stewart, who first introduced the plan to name the cove for Mark Twain, fully supports tabling his initial efforts.

"I have a great deal of respect for the Washoe Tribe. And if their cultural committee is unhappy with naming the cove for Mark Twain, I'm not going to fight them," Stewart said. "We need to show sensitivity to the tribe."

Comrades, I am feeling a sensitivity even now, just reading Comrade Squirrel's exposé.

In fact, I felt a moment of progressively FORWARD-leaning righteous HATE toward this reichwing 19th century teabagger!

Did you know that this Mark Twain once said, "Get the facts first. You can distort them later." What business did HE have talking about Benghazi, especially when it hadn't even happened yet??

Comrades, the books written by this teabagger must be burned anon, forthwith, and with a vengeance!

Wha...A FALSE NAME?!? Why Did I not think of that!?! I think I will go troll Ted Cruz's Facebook page Now...

Who the hell is Mark twain . . . Regardless, that piece of rubbish had it coming. I totally agree with Mr. Stewart who has shown extraordinarily high levels of tolerance towards this Mark Twain fellow. Mark Twain or whatever his real name is, makes me sick. The guy sounds like some deadbeat who off the backs of the oppressed, somehow got his name in some obscure history book. I have to go throw up now.

We, of course, know the real reason Mark Twain was banned from Lake Tahoe and its vicinities...

You do realize Iron Eyes Cody is an Italian-American actor who played Native Americans in film? Fake as a $3 bill.

Aspiring comrade,

I suppose next you'll tell me that Rosa Parks was an Austrian piano player who enjoyed portraying poor southern blacks in KKK documentaries!! The fact is that Iron Eyes Cody was a fictional character created by ancestors of the Koch brothers to cast doubt on the acting ability of Native Americans. Read your copy of The People's Current Truth™ for further documentation.

Comrade Clemens had a few redeeming qualities: It is too bad that he did not live long enough to go to a reeducation camp.
