MICE and Russian Propaganda

Ryan McBeth is a great source who does an excellent job researching and breaking down military and geopolitical topics.

In this video, he discusses MICE and why commentators take a pro-Russian stance.

My concern, speaking a conservative Republican, is how the political right now channels the Cold War left when it comes to Russia.

MICE is...

Money (or reward)
Ideology
Coercion
Ego

As usual with McBeth, this video is worth a few minutes of your time.

International relations is a Great Game, especially when The Art of the Deal is applied.

I would say to anyone who would listen that Trump will make no deal that does not advance U.S. interests first and foremost, and recent negotiations intentionally excluded Ukraine because—no matter what half-attentive MSM pundits and their copycats report—those negotiations were not about Ukraine.

They were specifically about sorting out US-Russian relations before engaging in peace negotiations. And it makes sense. Look at the third bullet point:

https://www.state.gov/secretary-rubios- ... er-lavrov/

Some may choose to make a commotion over the perceived slight to Zelensky but those dramatics reveal only how intentionally blind the MSM is to true purposes, methods and goals. And it's just as well because the US hand is not being tipped.

As I've stated in the past, we can't know exactly what Trump will do or how, but whatever he does will be well planned and anticipate all possible Russian responses.

I'm certain peace will come soon and—whether by carrot or stick—the US will benefit from it in more ways than one.

Note: this reply, being neither parody nor satire, is posted as a courtesy only and no further replies will be forthcoming because of my previously stated stance on non-humorous discussions at The Cube.

Trump is good with using a laser pointer to preoccupy the press, and that's likely what he's doing here.

The way I read the tea leaves, supporting Ukraine is very much in America's interests. If Russia becomes great again, it will be at the cost of its immediate victims and neighbors primarily, but also to us to the degree that Russia influences world affairs. I like it when we're in charge.

In the meantime, confirmation bias is a human trait and not restricted to a particular party. It's always easy to see when "they" do it, such as any time CNN reports on firearms (or anything else), but we need to be on guard against it ourselves.

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life..." and I believe we honor Him by being truth seekers first, even if that puts us out of step with our tribe from time to time.

Most Equally Esteemed Comrades,

Is it just me, or lately does The Cube™ remind one of Woody Allen’s films?  I miss the early funny ones.

I miss the Olden Cube and the legends of rhetoric who made it what it was. Maybe we can restore her former greatness (while using the Cube's preferred pronouns, if any). It's time to distribute the MTPCGA bright red hats. Pinkie is drawn to those like bugs to a zapper,  so maybe we'll hear more from her (or whichever pronouns she prefers, if any).  But let's go no further with the Woody Allen analogy.
