MSNBC's Brian Williams and NY Times Mara Gay reveal on live TV they can't perform basic mathematics.

Brian Williams - Mara Gray.jpg

On MSNBC Brian Williams and New York Times editorial board member Mara Gay argued on Thursday that Bloomberg could have gifted every American $1 million instead of wasting money on his presidential campaign.

Is this the formula they used to make this wonderful calculation? Does this mean that Michael Bloomberg would have $873 Trillion left after paying everyone $1-million dollars?

Did Brian and Mara get help with their arithmetic from Ma & Pa Kettle?

It's called...

PeopleMath™: All Numbers Are Equal

In a nutshell:

X=X=X
X+X=X
X-X=X
X*X=X
X/X=X

For example:

One mil = One mil = One mil
One mil + One mil = One mil
One mil - One mil = One mil
One mil * One mil = One mil
One mil / One mil = One mil

And if you're triggered by having to look at numbers, here's an equally valid version:

> ≈ <
> ≈ =
< ≈ =

I see you are wise in the ways of biological sciences Komrade, Xn genders is the most equal of conclusions!

Commissar Kindly Uncle Unkulturny has been grilling and grilling my our proles beet-field staff in the Mathematical Truisms of Socialism:
*any* + *any* = any;
*any* - *any* = any;
*any* times *any* = any;
*your share* redistributed among our many
beetsters = *okay, just enough for you!*

If you object to The Mathematical Certainty of Our Heroic Socialist Doctrine, then please discuss your objections with Comrade Vlady who will be waiting to meet you in person behind the Beet Barn - Vlady will be the gentleman with the firearm, and he will be more than eager to listen to your objections...

Just wait until the IRS finds out about this.

I use the people's math, comrades. If a kulak has 20 beet rations and I have 1 beet ration, the people's math theorem clearly states that I have 21 beet rations.

There is a flaw in your solutions comrade. The solution to any operation applied to “X” is whatever the party says it is.

Omit the phrase "applied to 'X'" and your statement will be more korrekt.

Come to think of feel about it, omit also the phrase "to any operation." Then we are left with the most korrekt statement, "The solution is whatever the party says it is."

For that matter, the problem is also whatever the party says it is. And now I have lost track of what we were talking about. Which is probably just as well.
