Obama's Appointment Dichotomies!

A dichotomy is a division into two mutually exclusive or contradictory groups or entities. Let's see if you can apply the definition of dichotomy by spotting them in Obama's Presidential Appointments!

For Example:

1. Hillary Clinton is the Department of State Secretary-designate yet her husband, former President Bill Clinton, has accepted “untold" (to the general public) millions in contributions to his Foundation from many foreign dignitaries with whom Ms. Clinton will be directly interacting. (For example, India is a large contributor to Mr. Clinton's Foundation but Pakistan has given nothing.) Can you spot the potential dichotomy?

2. Timothy Geithner is the Department of the Treasury Secretary-designate yet he failed to pay his Social Security and Medicare taxes in 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004. What's more, after the IRS audited him, Geithner paid his 2003 and 2004 taxes, but paid his 2001 and 2002 taxes only after he was nominated to be Treasury Secretary. Tom Daschle is the Department of Health and Human Services Secretary-designate yet since leaving the Senate 4 years ago he has worked as a board member of the Mayo Clinic and as a highly paid advisor to health care clients at the law and lobbying firm Alston & Bird. (not as a lobbyist but as a special advisor). He is a far left liberal that believes in government controlled nationalized health care but worked exclusively for big business health care. Can you spot the potential schizophreniadichotomy?

6. Hilda Solis (“We are all Americans whether you are legalized or not”) is the Department of Labor Secretary-designate yet she believes all American workers should be unionized and gladly championed the Employee Free Choice Act making open voting a lawful means of establishing a unionized company. Her view of immigration reform proposes amnesty and citizenship for illegal folks already here and working. Can you spot the potential dichotomy?

I sense a bit of ingratitude here. Her husband was most influential in handing over many of our nuclear secrets to China. Such Kameraderie must be rewarded. Even if there was that nasty affair with trying to make his Zionist intern into a cigar dispenser.

Since when has experienced ever mattered? Look at how the great concept of equality got a man of color who has never really held down a real job, and might not even be a stateside-born citizen, in the highest--er, most equal position--in the country!

Eric Holder is someone who is supposed to help uphold the Constitution through its interpretation. He is not loved very well in 2A circles because he favors the "collective right" interpretation of that amendment as opposed to the "individual right" interpretation that has held up in Federal ruling after Federal ruling. Progressives were shocked that the Supreme Court favored the individual right ruling with the Heller case, but that is because they don't get out much, engage in much conversation with non-Liberals (heckling does not count), nor read much history (unless it is Party-approved). They really are an inbred lot.

Dr. Coleman-Adebayo lamented in a recent interview, "The very woman I prevailed against in court is being elevated to a White House decision-level position." On her last day in office, Browner oversaw the destruction of agency computer files in brazen violation of a federal judge's order requiring the agency to preserve its records. This from a public official who bragged about her tenure: “One of the things I'm the proudest of at EPA is the work we've done to expand the public's right to know.” Asked to explain her track-covering actions she claimed she had no clue about a court injunction signed by U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth on the same day she commanded an underling to wipe her hard drives clean. Additionally, she is a very well known high level member of "Socialist International", where she served as a "commissioner." (In the great Soviet tradition of "disappearing commissars," Browner's bio has now been stripped from the SI website.)

Obama himself is the quintessential dichotomy:
- he is proclaimed a "genius" even though his thoughts on most subjects are largely pedestrian
- he is reputed to be a "great speaker" but no one seems to remember any great quotes from any of his speeches
- he claims to have a plan to create millions of jobs in spite of the fact he himself has never had a real one
- he is supposed to have great judgement yet his many of his personnel decisions thus far - Joe Biden, Bill Richardson, Tim Geithner, Eric Holder, etc - seem less than insightful
- he is seen as a "governmental reformer" despite the fact he arose from the sleaziest political cesspool in America

It is no suprise his Administration is filled with dichotomies as shit rolls downhill from the summit. The real question we must ask is why is Blagojevich personna non grata in the Promised Obamaland? It seems like he would be an ideal candidate to head the Ministry of Honesty or the People's National Used Car Lot.

One will likely never know how "smart" Obama is. Like his birth certificate, all of his academic records have been sealed, especially his law school grades at Harvard, thus Wikipedia may be forced to call him a cum laude graduate like they do Al Gore with his 4 C's and a D. The D was in earth science by the way.

Many of his quotes are just that, quotes from other people and their work, like the title to his book "The Audacity of Hope." Also he is a worse gaffe machine than Dan Quayle when his teleprompter is on the fritz!

The jobs that he will create will be nothing to write home about, they will be very low income jobs but thanks to his tax plan, people working them will get money back from the government that they never paid in.

I like to think of "Browner" as the same kind of brown that I flush down my toilet every morning.

However, a much more concerning fact about Browner is that this President-Select picked a major player in the socialist climate terrorist movement to lead the United States in the the most powerful (and as you pointed out, just recently created) position regarding climate law in the country! That's like putting PETA's head spokesperson in charge of the Hamburger industry. She is far more aggressive and dangerous an advisary than dope-headed Al Gore ever was. Hopefully she can put aside her personal prejudices ("black people are so upitty") to work with our new President-In-Training.
