Health Minister unperturbed by criticisms of Cuban eye care

Minister of Health, Horace Dalley has expressed satisfaction with the quality of ophthalmology care being offered to Jamaican patients who participate in the Jamaica-Cuba eye care project.
The Minister and a six member delegation, including representatives from the local health sector, are on an official visit to Cuba.

Friday the group toured the University Hospital in Cienfuegos.

The hospital is one of several locations where Jamaican patients have been receiving treatment.

The delegation expressed confidence in the services being offered and was optimistic that the programme could continue successfully.

The Minister's visit to Cuba comes in the wake of increasing calls from members of the local health sector for the programme to be suspended.

In recent weeks, several cases of severe eye complications following surgery in Cuba have been reported to local public hospitals.

Do they cut people open to hide packets of drugs inside them for when they cross the border?

Can't you SEE that this is a corrupt capitalist conspiracy to confuse communist conformity? Shame!
