Soviet-Stylized Sci-Fi Parody Vids

Comrades, today I came across a Patreon page for Dreamloop Cinema/Dreamloop Studio, which seems to delight in Soviet-themed parodies of various TV and movie productions and uses AI animations to do so.

Darth Marx.
Darth Marx.

I cannot denounce their efforts because they're very amusing and in some ways parallel what's done here at The People's Cube. In fact, an anti-Communist film festival is forthcoming in D.C. and I think these short animations should be included.

See their introduction vid here:  https://www.patreon.com/posts/join-meme-union-134401818

And view some of their vids here:

Their YouTube page here: https://www.youtube.com/@dreamloopcinema

If the producers of these vids aren't already members of The Kollective, they should be. Perhaps we should invite them to join.

Most Equally Esteemed Comrade Colonel,

I have been plagued by Useful Idiots who quote Star Trek and Star Wars to justify their misinterpretations of Communist Theory.  They are precisely the kind of person who introduces things they saw in movies or on television as supporting evidence when making a deeply flawed argument.  The Dreamloop Cinema / Dreamloop Studio YouTube Channel should have proved invaluable in ridding myself of two of these Useful Idiots.  Or so I thought.  I forwarded urls for these fine parodies to both Useful Idiots.  BOTH replied at once that they cannot wait for the full length features to come out.  One even said, “Finally the hidden Political Truth™ embedded in Star Wars / Star Trek is exposed for all to see.”  The joyful expression of their ignorance will be irksome at best.  Time to block some contacts.

I should have seen this coming.  My plan was bound to backfire.  Never underestimate the ability of the willfully ignorant to misinterpret the obvious.

The chronically unreasonable are irredeemable, Comrade.

When things go terribly wrong because of their  socialist "leadership, they'll blame it on conservative resistance and interference and trickery.

When things go wonderfully right under conservatism, they'll make false claims that it's all an illusion and lies and a conspiracy.

Just as "The Terminator" can't be reasoned  with or bargained with or bribed, the chronically unreasonable have set a course to the heart of an ideological void and can never be diverted from it no matter the disastrous outcome.

In other words, they're in a permanent state of denial and not worth arguing with.

In other other words, save yourself from aggravation and let them walk off their cliffs, because walk they will and you can't stop them.

Most Equally Esteemed Comrade Colonel,

Rest assured, I have no intention of stopping them.  I have and will continue to spur them on.  Perhaps I might give a helpful nudge if the opportunity arises.  Marx knows I want to.

These particular irritants Useful Idiots are relatives by a recent marriage to a favorite cousin.  (She may be destined to lose her most favored cousin status.)  I will be happier when the lines of communication are severed.  It will simplify plans for Thanksgiving and Marxmas as well.

It is easy enough to block texts and e-mails.  I’m certain I will be the family villain when all is said and done.  Won’t be my first BBQ.  I doubt the irritants Useful Idiots will have the stones to show up at my front door.  To paraphrase my equally esteemed fraternity brother G. S. Patton, “May God have mercy on my stupid in-laws, because I won’t.”

Comrade, those are some beautifully AI-rendered devices. Did you script them yourself or are they from someone else's collection? I ask because I'm curious about the steering wheels.

User avatar
They have steering wheels because they are portable computers.

They have steering wheels because they are portable computers.

I thought those wheels were starting cranks. As we know, early Soviet computers often needed two comrades: one to crank the generator furiously, and another to hold down the 'Enter' key with a brick, ensuring proper ignition of the Collective Algorithm.

In winter conditions, comrades were required to warm the People’s Computer™ by lighting a small bonfire under the mainframe, then hand-crank it for five minutes until the tubes began to glow faintly red. This was known as the 'Five-Year Start Plan.'

Those permanently affixed wheels are a big improvement. In my time, you first had to insert the hand-crank at the front of the terminal. We were permitted to pull upward only - otherwise the machine might counter-revolutionarily break your arm before showing you the loading screen for Tetris.

They are dual purpose in that respect. Thank you for that clarification, Comrade.

Many of the newer models on the drawing boards will even employ triple purpose wheels so that it will be possible to steer the curser around on the screen rather than old way of moving the screen around the curser.
